Lol =P calm down, I am helping by suggesting to look into people who have recently inquired about the car. Living in a dead end street means it is most likely not someone who drove by and saw it at random as an easy target.

Skylines in general do stick out. How many other cars have perfect round singular lights like the rears of a skyline.

and i do know how it feels to have ur car stolen :P , my first car, a honda civic (not as impressive as the skyline) was stolen from me but I can look at it in a good way because it led me to buying my v35.

Well if worst comes to worst insurance will pay out for it.

As far as eye-balling all my neighbours they seem ok. But yeah i feel like it was a Targrted job.

Again thanks to all for letting me vent a little. I will post more info if i hear any news.

Wen my stagea was stolen the f**kers drove it around the same area from were it was taken for 4 days..

the stag stood out like dogs balls, low, loud, straight pipes hanging out the back, only green one in s.a,black bodykit, massive wing

Don't hold your breath mate that the cops will 'definately spot' your r33

Sorry if that comes across harsh, the coppers were Near useless wen looking for mine

even wen the flamin mongrel was doing 150kph down taps hill rd at 3pm on a Saturday

good luck with it all bud

i've gone pretty well without an alarm so far... but that said i'm in an interesting position.

I parked the car in the garden a few years ago and shortly after planted 2 trees, one in front one behind.

Now not even i can get the damn car out.

Sorry to hear about your loss mate.

Hope it comes good in the end.

Simon i think that you will find lately in Adelaide there has been a number of imports being stolen and almost all of them didnt have an alarm...hence why a lot of us are asking why people dont have alarms installed specially when its an import and the thieves love the boost

yeah i understood that, i see a new post for it almost every day.

I think the question of "did you have an alarm" is the most frequently asked question of this forum, despite the fact that its never the op of a post who asks it.

i was attempting humorous approach to "you can avoid an alarm if your willing to have your care rendered immobile by large immovable objects" but failed.

bit about the trees is true tho... i actually have to cut one down to get my car out now... both trees are literally 5cm from the front and rear bumpers of my gtst.

i hope the insurence will pay out i was pretty sure no alarm fitted no payout if it got pinched ? i may be wrong tho

thats what I thought, I'm pretty sure most "import" insurance companies dont do a pay out unless an australian standard immobiliser is fitted.

If your car didnt have one, then your best bet for a payout is for the car to never be found.

Hopefully it all works out for you

Quick question on the topic of australian standard immobilisers, mine has one (that wasnt installed by me) and my insurance schedule says I need one, but if its ever stolen and not recovered, how would they know I had one?

Back OT, S.A seems to be such a problem area with stolen imports! Why??

my car also cam fitted with a alarm when i bought it but on the remote was the companys name that fitted it so i rang them and they assured me all there alarms met aust insurence needs so when i insured it i passed that info to the insurence company and were happy with that .

as for so many getting pinched we have the gang of 49 i reckon there responsable for a lot of them

lets go check out the 49's at mitchell park.. maybe got some in backyard hehe..

once you've done it, it only gets easier and as krishy said, they love the boost :)

my car was insured without an alarm or immobilizer for over 22k, only had a club lock, has alarm and imob since yesturday
