In the final stages of finalising a contract to move back overseas with work, which means some parts I have in storage will be up for sale, if i get the right price then will part with them as they are costing me $210 a month to have in store (along with some furniture etc)

- Brand new Tomei RB24 pistons. Increase bore to 82mm. Part No. 1112820112. Asking $1670

- Tomei RB20DET / VG30DETT Valve Springs for Procams or 10.35mm lift cams. Asking $380

- Tomei RB20/25/VG30 Solid Lifters and Tomei retainers for use with Procams (used) - $450

- Tomei Procams 10.35mm lift. Not sure if they are 260 or 270 duration. They come with a set of Tomei solid lifters. All are currently at engine machinest as they came out of an RB24 that suffered a catastrophic big end failure and upon receipt there were signs that the head had been starved of oil and cams are scored. Machinist is confirming duration and that they can be tidied up and used. Take cams as is with lifters for $300 or wait until I have had them inspected and repaired as/if required

- Also have a new set of Apexi RB26 titanium retainers. They are heavier then i expected so surprised that they are titanium. They are Apexi and in the catalogue I have access to Apexi only list titanium RB26 retainers

The Tomei lifters are perfect for RB25/30 builds that want to run the high lift Procams, though the valve springs are not suitable for the RB25 head.

- Also have an R32 RB25 crank that has been balanced and oil drive collar installed. Comes with a set of std, balanced RB26 rods to suit. Asking $1000 bor crank and rods

If you want a number of the components then will do a better price for a number of components. All you need to build a tough RB24 is here, pistons, rods, crank, valve springs, reatiners and lifters. Just chose the duration cam you want to run.

Apart from the cams the gear is either new or in good condition ready to go. I have been pulling the bits together for a tough RB24 for a long time, but just cant see it happening anytime soon.

Also have a Greddy Type R gate that has only seen a few hundred kms of dyno tuning and an RB26 block with near new N1 oil pump and water pump I need out of the way, so offers?

Any offers on the Tomei RB24 pistons? If someone wants to take the complete RB26 bottom end of me with the pistons, Poncams, valvesprings and lifters then happy to discuss reasonable offers.

The RB26 bottom end is in perfect health other then a ring on one of the N1 pistons. So the oil pumps, water pump, balanced crank with oil drive and rods etc are all less then 5,000kms old (well under) from a rebuild. So with the bits from the 26 bottom end, add to the Tomei pistons, throw in the 256/8.5mm cams and springs and you will have the basis of a tough 2.4L!

The cams are gone. I want $1000 for the RB26 bottom end, mainly due to the fact it has oil pump, water pump, sump etc and near new N1 pistons etc .

If someone wants my RB20 256 Poncams I still have those. $800. They were usd for dyno purposes only.

Engine is in Moorabbin

    • I have to put something here in order to post the photos. From what I could gather there's more enthusiasm for modified cars now than there has been for years. There were probably more younger people there than older (me included lol) which was a good sign.  It did seem like the record least amount of representation of the 90's era hero cars on display though. Like maybe one or two examples of S-chassis Nissans, and maybe 3 or 4 R-chassis. By comparison there were a lot of Civics from that era but in all there were about 10 - 12 EG/EK Civic Type R.  Euro exotics are always there in large numbers, led by Liberty Walk...... say what you will about kids using markers to scribble on a Ferrari F40, it did seem like a stunt to infuriate Ferrari enthusiasts, or Ferrari itself. I wonder if there's something more to it. Either way LBWK have done some heinous things to a Lamborghini Miura this time. They should stop now.
    • Engines and drivelines are not war stoppers for me mate, busted arse bodies and un-obtainium parts and panels are though Both cheap Brumbies I looked at had trashed tubs and a fair bit of rust
    • Stock O2 sensors are narrowband. They're useless once you're away from stoich. IE, useless for what you're trying to do. 10:1 will read the same as 14:1 from the stock O2 sensors. That is, they'll read rich. The same level of rich.
    • I agree once misfires happen it's basically worthless, but the hope is you can see what's happening in the run up to that.
    • You should totally get a Brumby, and then come pick up the Subaru Liberty GTB I have here. EJ25 Turbo, 6 speed manual from the sti (just no dccd), and the good rear diff. Drop all that into a Brumby and go have fun!
