Hey guys, had a bit of a search around and gathered this info, but not sure if it's enough can't find much more ( i fail at searching). I want to put a 33 gtr box in my 32gtr and keep my push type clutch. Apparently you change the pivot point and tap the casing to swap the direction of the slave cylinder. Is there any parts i need from my push box box or is that all i need to do? I take it i use the slave from the 33 box and not my one?

Also, will i be able to use my 32 transfer case with the 33 box?

Swap the front cover (pic attached) fork, and pivot ball from your current R32 gearbox to the R33 box. Replace the gasket aswell, Kudos Motor sports or Just Jap sell them pretty cheap.

Then drill and tap the bosses on the R33 bellhousing and use your current push type slave cylinder.

I hope that makes sense?

which part do i disconnect? 114_0518.jpg

The mechanic is claiming it's one piece

edit: I can see now what he means by it's one piece. After looking closer at the pic that J'z-R33 posted, i take it that you just undo all the bolts on the inside where the fork is and swap it over like that correct?

I have no direct experience, but the common way mentioned on this site is to swap the entire bellhousing. Try searching again with that word.

I wouldn't do this - if you swap the bellhousing odds are the seal on the rear end of the first sandwich plate will get cracked;

meaning that the box will leak from there. To fix _that_ will need the box to be pulled down and resealed from the back to the front.

J'z is on the money; swap the relevant bits, drill/tap the blank bosses, and use the slave cylinder that's currently on the car.

You shouldn't need to undo any bolts that you can see in your big picture :P

Cheers,

SW

exactly right...I've done it for a couple of them now. only thing you may need is the gasket behind the front cover.

yes you just undo about 10 bolts on off she comes.
