Between the radiator and the front mount intercooler theres a grill which has a fan attached to it, i have no idea what its for.

someone suggested it could be a automatic transmission cooler, but my car is a manual... unless its been convereted...

ahhh ok, thanks moodles/mad082/victory for the quick replies.

i didn't think the air conditioner core was that large! pretty much the same size as the radiator :ninja:

i shall part with some knowledge to share, NEVER buy a HKS sponge pod filter, my 3A racing air filter just arrived in the mail so i pulled off the old crappy HKS one and had a look inside and it had a collections of small stones on the inside. The thing filtered nothing! Had to clean my AFM it was discusting. Hate to think about all the crap thats been running through my engine :)

Skyline's have surprisingly decent aircon systems, well my R32 GTR does anyway.. was actually blown away on how well it works when I took ownership of it after compliance was done, I was expecting a sauna not a ice blizzard in summer :)

does the gas get changed on compliance? mine was pretty good. but when i got my second magna the gas was gone so i got it regassed. on a hot day, straight after regas, the aircon guy put a temp gauge into the vent and put the fan on full speed. got down to 9 degrees before the thermostat turned it off. think it got back up to about 20 degrees before it kicked back in again. but that was only in the vent, but the car still got nice and cold.

I think by law, when they come off the boat from Japan (or possibly even before they get on the boat in Japan) they have to be degassed, but that was ages ago when I did research back in 2004ish under the 15 year rule not SEVS

going off your info in your profile, you have a r33 gts-t. they don't have an oil temp gauge, so no. even the water temp gauge isn't specific as it will sit in the middle of the gauge for about a 20 degree range and won't go above it until the coolant is pretty much boiling.
