*yawn* tomei is the way to a broken bank balance, and this guy doesn't have all the money in the world.

IMO you are best to get a set of CP or Wiseco pistsons mate for what you are trying to build at present.

Best compromise between price and quality and have been proven in a ridiculous number of 350-400rwkw+ setups.

i got my TOMEI pistons for 1600 if that makes you feel better

Being that you can get CP's outta the states for under 1000 bucks.

Its kind of a waste spending 700 more on "allegedly" better pistons, yet no real evidence they are better than anything else on the market.

I'm using them in a 26/30 with no problem.

They were more expensive than most others when I bought them a while back. Supertech make some high end ie F1 gear from memory. I agree with what's said above, clearances etc are much more important than the value of picking one piston over another, and the well known brands have all proven themselves.

yeah they are good but like dave said the jap stuff is not just pretty packaging. the tomei pistons in my engine are so quiet you wouldn't know it's forged. zero piston slap even when stone cold and they can handle plenty of power like any other piston. I do agree they are not the best value though being quite expensive compared to other chinese and US options but there are certainly not a waste of money.
