Can we maybe make the meeting point closer to brisbane? I've got my car back now so I'm interested. It's just, I dont like going too far on thursday nights so I might just meet at the meeting spot and then head on home. If it's at yatala, it's fine

i think perhaps it is smart to rotate the meeting points

once cops get wind of regular meets at a set point and time theres gonna be trouble, howerver is it is changed regularly then it makes it somewhat unpredictable, and no one gets into a "rut" as doin the same thing week in week out can get boring too

perhaps we should put more thought into rotating meeting points that way everyones happy, and the cops cant guess where we will be

I'd love to but my timing belt is making clickity-clack noises, and just dont have enough for a 100k service which I want to do as that'll fix the timing belt as well as some other stuff, but if your going to meet at Yatala anyone got a spare seat as I could probably walk there it is that close to me

Aslo as a meeting spot there is that new Shell on the Nudgee Beach exit on the gateway, massive car park there and "friendly" for the northsiders, just a bit of a hike for us //GCers + toll  so you Northies might wanna organise the cruise that time! :)

Belgarion and MJ are right.

yes, we have to alternate location and S/bank is an Ideal place.

so lets see those GC dudes come up here for a change, then next week NismoGirl can arrange a North meet, and next week Strut for GC meet, DEAL???

    • Well, I'm not clicking on a link to f**king bookface (never have, never will), so I can't really know what the complaint here is about, but.... There's nothing particularly wrong with forcing people to have a higher license category to drive super/hypercars. Note that the laws are not about modified cars - only listed standard cars, because there are not supposed to be cars modified enough to meet the law's category limits anyway. If you have a modified car that falls into those power limits you're already in trouble anyway. What is wrong is the bullshit on-line "test" to get the upgrade, instead of any actual work and training.
    • Meh Don't have Facebook anymore but watched a YouTube about it, they also talked about them not being able to use and "sports" modes, not really sure how they would enforce that apart from logging the Db for the cars that have exhaust valve activation in sports mode Apart from all the high end sports cars and supercars that make the sort of power they are talking about standard, I cannot see it bothering anyone else, unless of course road side tests now include having a dyno and scales on site to test the power output vs weight What is it? 500hp per ton? And if the only additional cost is $60 or so, as the video stated, I cannot see that being a war stopper for the people that outlay a few hundred thousand dollars on a performance car In fact, I see it would be a ego boost for some, because they have a "special" drivers licence for a "special"person with a "special" car And if I did have a modified car that made over the limit, there's no way in hell I would apply for a "special" licence, I could see the authorities checking your licence against your rego, so if old mate applied for a licence, but owns a, say, R33 Skyline, that may trigger an inspection of said car as to why, and how, that old mate has a R33 that would fit the bill of making over 500hp per ton Again, meh, not something I believe will be a real issue to 99.9% of people

    • Hi, I'm a new member who has been lurking for a while. Ive been looking to buy an R32, 33 or 34. GTT/GTST for some time now. I'm close to pulling the pin on one,. My question is around roadworthy certificates in Victoria. What can you get away with as far as mods go?  Would a car pass RWC with a haltech dash, aftermarket manifold and high mount turbo as long as ride height and noise was ok? I come from a muscle car background, I'm learning more about our beloved Skylines as I go. I don't want to drop my savings on something to find out I need thousands to get it on the road. Cheers for any input/advice.
    • The first year I did Putty Road I was driving the old Honda Jazz work car. Being the rear vehicle of the 2nd or 3rd group to make sure no one got lost. The GTRs in front couldn't work out how I "was with them in the twisties"... They didn't like it when they found out I was only cruising and chilling in the Jazz like it was a Sunday drive with my Nan in the car.
