Genuine R34 Gtr V-spec 2 Aluminium Pedal Group Buy!

Recommended Posts

Damn,

Got all my parts on Thursday - and I'm having difficulties fitting the accelerator pedal - looks like the metal is of a slightly smaller diameter, so the pedal with those two bushes is loose...hmmmm.

Ok as promised here are the photos of the stock accelerator pedal in a V Spec II to show the bushes that are part of this kit to make it fit (thanks Mathew!)

As you can see in this side shot, there is a black "clip" that holds the pedal on at the top:

Here you can see it unclipped:

And here it is removed:

And that is the clip next to the pedal:

Now the other bush is the one on the end of the pedal as seen here:

So that is it :P Those two clips, bushes, what ever you want to call them are what allow you to fit the acclerator pedal onto other Nissans.

Ahh ha, here is my problem - you can see these little rubbers on the wire itself, that sorts out the difference in diameter - hmmm, might try some heat shrink, or something like that to make it sit nice and tight.

On the R33, and on this pic attached from the R34, you can see a grey rubber like material - this material allows a snug fit, without it the pedal is pretty loose on the metal.

Two bushes I got are the round one that sits in the bottom of the pedal and the clip-like bush that holds the top of the pedal.

Footrest, clutch, brake and the accelerator pedal are all in the car - looks like I won the race, pfffewww, it was a close run one ;)

PS: total price for my full set was under $200, including parts, shipping, money transfer costs etc.

PS2: $169 for this group buy is in my opinion unbelievable price BTW.

Brake and clutch pedals will be here any day now.

ETA on those footrests being available in Japan is still the 10th of this month.

I wasn't going to fit the accelerator pedal until the whole set were here (and to be fair since you guys don't have yours yet) but after rehab2010's post I wanted to make sure it did fit.

Here it is, all fitted up - really like the look of these.

Looks like you had some trouble getting the pedals on, they looked pretty scratched up for new pedals.

Just to let you know, I sprayed a "tiny bit" of oil on the back rubber part and it made it so much easier to slide on, then gave it a good wipe and they are on pretty firm..

Just a thought if people have trouble getting there pedals fitted..

I had a massive trouble getting them on, ended up spraying a tiny bit of WD40, but those are not scratches, or I'd be mega pissed off if they are - they are simply dirty because I was sitting in the car and my shoes were wet, dirty, so I left a dirty mark - I probably should have wipped them before taking a pic though >_<

PS: People, definitely use some oil or WD40, something to lubricate the rubber or you will struggle to put them on. These are worse than stock rubber pedals to fit since rubber is thicker around the edges.

I didn't think of it when I was installing mine. I heated it up with a heat gun and it was still a bitch to get on, took me like an hour or so for 2 of them, I was so tired and pissed off afterwards lol, but they do look good :P

  • 2 weeks later...

Anymore updates on these? Havn't recieved mine yet

No one has.

No idea where the damn clutch and brake pedals are, they should have been here by now

I've emailed him three times in the last 48 hours demanding answers as to what the f**k is going on.
