Hey guys in the next few months I'm going to buy my first car and I've always been hooked on Skyline's. At first I was thinking of getting an older Celica or something smaller but now I've decided I'll probably by an older Skyline, I still like the looks and they've got decent power in them.

I saw a nice one in the paper today (Canberra), a Silhoutte, lowered, mags ect for $3000 and it appears to be in nice condition, probably been strapped a fair bit though. Too bad I don't have the money just yet. Just wondering what you think is a good price and what model I should get, I've been driving a 99 Magna around so I know whats its like to have a little bit of power, though its FWD.

$3500 should get you something reasonable, say a GXE which has power steering, elec mirrors, nice seats, and around 118kw (stock). For that price you might get some nice rims and an exhaust as well as some of these have been added over the years. Modified, very clean and with a big stereo $5k max i guess these days.

I used to have one, great cars.. the skyline "feel" is still there! Then once u go up to a 32 or 33 it's a nice progression. Everything good about the 31 except 10 years engineering ontop  all good.

Ive heard that before......I think i might've said that too!!!!! dont give yourself the kiss of death. It is a shit of a feeling.

I used to own a 31, it had 17's on it, i made my own stainless muffler box, extractors, heavy duty daikin clutch, K&N air filter, sound system etc etc. Its my avatar, anyway i wish i hadnt sold it too my bro now, i miss it, but i still get 2 see it. They're bloody unbreakeable.
