wonders wether Nick was really there to get rid of his Camry wagon and come across to the dark side? :D

LOL, my sister's boyfriend might trade in his Delica, and I'd eventually like to get my old man to at least consider a s2 M35 when he gets rid of the Camry (yep, he actually owns one), so you're partly right, Craig. But the C34 is staying, unless some miracle happens and I can afford a 6-speed manual Axis S.

Ahhhh a manual. How awesome would that be, I would very much enjoy the N/A motor accelerate through a 6 speed manual. It certainly wouldn't be turbo like but I think it would be a nice matchup.

Do you think Nissan purposely made this car to be difficult to modify just to piss us off or was tiptronic the trend at the time for luxury wagons??

Also does anyone know what the M35 were worth brand new??

I'll save you the dreams Nick. Compliance is a no-go on the 350S (3.5 RWD Manual).

The Axis S is fine in RWD or AWD (both auto) though and I believe Northshore have a couple on stock :D

No AWD in the Axis S. I would have snapped it up in a heartbeat otherwise. I really liked the interior of those cars, even if they were a leather/ cloth combo. Had a nice feel to to them , whatever that mean. :O

Those prices don't seem to be too extravagant, so were they not overly popular because they have so many options of cars in Japan or are those pircest out of reach for the middle class japanese worker.

Or is my conversion wrong, cause in Oz dollars I am reading that to be around 40k.

Just remember that the R35 GTR is only 70'000 yen in Japan. And here it is $158'000.

You can see the Japanese prices and specs for virtually all the Stagea M35 models from 2001 to June 2007 here:

Just make sure you have the Google toolbar installed and let it translate to English.

Where can I get one of these 70,000 yen GT-R's

I think you meant 7,000,000, but got the point. Must be a VERY expensive boat trip to Australia to get $158k
