Ah broncolor. Yeah Jason Cole shoots with broncolor, seen him use one. I'd much rather pay $5K for an elinchrom Octabank which does the same thing. I think they are bigger (or around the same size). Broncolor is stupidly expensive. Great gear etc... but way over-priced. A cable just to plug a strobe into a battery pack is $400. Its only 2m!!!

Anyhow, i can only imagine how good the light is from one of these :D

I used the broncolor powerpacks and lights and puts my strobes to shame. But anyways for a amateur there is no need to be investing in that gear. If i ever setup a studio one day i will buy the elinchrom.. but im sure if you get big $$$$ for comerical stuff no doubt you will invest in some heafty gear.

Pretty sure from memory the studio had these:http://www.bron.ch/bc_pd_ps_en/detail.php?nr=15071

Broncolor is 10x the price of AB's. If i ever went pro as a studio shooter i still wouldn't invest in broncolor, i'd go with profoto. Broncolors just so "It has to be broncolor" or you can't use it. That's why i dont like them. I LOVE the light they output, but the price! The price!

I like that Avenger stand. To bad C stands with wheels and crank's are like $300-$400 +$200 shipping to aus!

I guess if you had the money then why not hahahah.. But even profoto is expensive. The para by them is 10k also!!

Anyways lets try and set up a studio first and be as famous as scott kelby or chase etc etc.. lol.. before we think of what to buy ahhaha

speaking of food shots here is a brochure I'm working on for a client... no money for a pro photographer so I borrowed a lense and shot it myself... we had to shoot at the front of the restaurant in fading afternoon light while the place was still full of customers but I reckon it turned out okay... my wife styled them (she's a photo/tv producer)

shots off the camera were quite 'cool' due to the natural light so I had to warm them in post... they're pretty muted colour wise too but that's the look we were going for

some great car shots in this thread too... makes me want to go and shoot my car... I'll have to wash it first tho lol
