ok guys - some weird shit is going on....

i pulled stock cassette player out of my 33 - identified wires and started to hook up - but unit wouldn't light up!

So i took it out and tested power wires again with test lamp - constant was fine - switched was fine....

Then i tried it again - no go...switched suddenly didn't have any power to it!!!

I dissconnected it again and it tested as dead once again, i tried to start car and it wouldn't idle - i had to give it some - turn the car off, then when i start it again it would idle fine!

So i test switched again - it was fine - as soon as i plug the connector into the back of my sony headset (that does work) the switched wouldn't work - thew second the connector left the back of the headset it would...

weird

any idea's?
