does anyone know the torque specs for the cam that hold the camshaft down?, The last engine that i did i just felt it, I pulled them all to 15 foot pounds. thanks again. Oh is there a arp stud kit that is avalible for these caps. I've seen GTR from japan with studs insted of bolts.

I believe RB26 is 12-14 ft lbs. Rb25 should be similar if not identical...have just fitted cams to my 26, stretched one bolt to breaking point and broke one off in the head, had it removed today by thread doctor...$100 wasted thanks to a dodgey torque wrench...those bolts have almost zero stretch, be very careful, if theyre over-torqued/stressed they can fail during operation!

I just ordered a new set of bolts from Nissan, $3 odd each.

And found this on another forum, specs were specific to RB25 -

Cam bolts are 9-12Nm

1 5 9 13 11 7 3

2 6 10 14 12 8 4

I would say from what ive read, at the 15 ft lb you have them torqued to, they are probably at their limits!
