When i used to beat the hell out of the Supra i had Ultimates on and i found they did fade on occasion (usually around 3am) i upgraded to the Green stuff and never had a problem again. The fluid was DOT 4 and had been changed very recently so it wasnt that. In my opinion nothing is as important as brakes on the car, this may have something to do with my master cylinder blowing last week when i was on a 3am tourist drive through kings park ;)

Neil @ perth brakes is the guy we usually do a bit of a group buy with as he's my cousin and generally helps us out if we get a big enuff order together.

The ferrodos are good i hear but a bit on the expensive side, the rb74s seem to get a good reveiw from everyone so thats what id go with if i were u.

Thought about a rotor upgrade? Skyzerr and Gradenko did that a while back and they are pretty good for the price around $500 i think from my shot memory but dont quote me.

Try the DBA RB74 pads; they seemed to get some positive response and go for $120 a pair.

Decent pads, when bedded in properly, won't squeal excessively.

I'm on RB74's too. Made by RaceBrakes btw, not DBA. Excellent pad for the money, much nicer than the Ultimates I used previously. The RB74's aren't the most disc-friendly pad around, but they don't fade like Ultimates can, and they take a lot more punishment without dumping resin all over your discs. They did squeal when I first put them on, but that could be put down to heat stressed & worn factory discs - they're quiet as a mouse with DBA slotted rotors on.

G0DF4Th3R, not much dust with these. No where near as much as with Ultimates anyway.

XRW, Ultimates *are* metal and *do* chew discs. Why are they good again? ;)

I personally won't be using anything BUT RB74 Pads from www.racebrakes.com.au (they are abit more than $120/set too). No squeel, excellent stopping power and no fade (im using DBA4000 + Braided lines + sleeved master + master cylinder brace + DOT5.1).

Gents,

time for a brake pad change i think(2-3mm) left, but decided to either go for either RB74's and Ferodo TS2000 but got quoted

for RB74's $145 (front) and $165 (rears)

and for Ferodo TS2500 $160

Where are you guys buying yours? These are from racebrakes direct and perth brakes respectively.

And one last thing.. R32 GTST type M doesn't have the same brake calipers as the R32 GTR's do they?

After last months sprint day at wanneroo, which consisted of 5x 2 lap runs, the Bendix ultimate pads i where using performed patheticly. They overheated, turned to charcoal and glazed/overheated my rotors(DBA slotted).

I had been using the cheapest road version Endless pads(from Xspeed) and could not complain at all about them.

For you mums Camry,go for Bendix.

(yes i have Skyline 4pots on my R30)
