ben #2: um, do you have like an alarm system. I know with mine the driver side system unlocked the passenger side via the beeper.. And if i disconnected the driverside the central looking wouldn't go through to the other side.

how can i reconnect it, i dont have a alarm but keep that secret lol, like i took off my side door panel and suddenly it stopped working but i couldnt see what was stopping it, is the connection in the drivers door or the passengers, or is there 2 switches and it could be either ?

*shrugs* take ur door trim off again and fiddle with everything in there and make sure all connections are fine, other then that i have nfi

as far as i know, there is no switch in the passenger's door, there is just the handle.

Usually attached to that there is an actuator that will pull the wires that connect the handle to the lock down. that could be stuck or jammed.. it sounds in your case its the actually drivers side switch thing which are known to get dodgy connections. Take that out and try wiggling the wires and see whether it comes back to life or acts intermittantly.
