How about a Wolf 3D?

The more I read about it the better it sounds..... just finding someone who can tune it up here is what is putting me off buying it

yeh chris the wolf3d is so far the best ecu for me to get. It works on the auto and its a plug and play unit like the powerfc so u dont have to cut the loom. It also runs MAP and AFM and has its own boost control too, so for $1400 it seems good value.

manual box it one day.. may be your own option.. although that is a bit defeatist.

What about the Microtech? or Wolf?

nex: i know a guy in melb who got the wolf (not sure whether it was latest version or not).. had endless troubles getting a proper tune for it.. ended up costing big bucks due to the extra tuning costs

thats another thing im worried about gordon, not many ppl can tune the wolf around here. Im gonna go talk to Matt spry as he seems to know his shit and gavin recommended me to him even though hes not a wolf agent.

cyrus there's a few problems with the e-manage ignition harness burning coil packs on skylines........i dont know if the lately firmware has fixed it but thats what has turned me off it

Yeah well by the time I can afford one, it'll be being replaced with the next latest and greatest thing :D

smooth: charly sooked and ran off.

yeah.. you can be really quick on the manual.. but the manual and clutch really have to be 100% (mine aren't..chiefly my clutch). Otherwise, auto is much easier.

if i convert the r31 in one way or another i think i will keep it auto

i'd just go the wolf then.. the main problem will be finding somebody really competant to tune it.. if you can get that all should be rosey..

no Z32 AFM required either.. cheaper

ah yer, bad luck on the shoulder, it all good now ross?

if the auto computer is on its own, mabey it just operates off outputs from the engine ecu? so then it should theoreticly work cause the pfc outputs the same outputs as the stock one????

just a bit of assumption

yeah, most shift like dogs on manuals.. somebody showed me how to do it once.. as quick as possible.. 1/2 second or less is nice.. usually my clutch poos itself though - dying thrust bearing means it lacks spring :D
