hey all.. don't you ****ing hate slow computers?! shitting me right up the wall and slowing down my whole work :D you kinda need a decent computer to have photoshop, dreamweaver, IE, outlook and illustrator open at the sametime! then again that is their problem rather than mine i guess. I still get paid :(

James :wavey: yeah glenn is picking me up, but he doesnt have my address as yet, lol

My car need severe mental help! You coming out tonight?

Let's do a count. People who have posted on this page allready who are waiting on cars: ALL.

Yes Mines still in the shop and I "should" have it back tonight. If I do I'll be out. If I don't I'll probably have a V6 Auto commodore with work plates on it. So I'll also be probably coming out.

If I don't have that I'll be driving a van, in which case I won't be coming out. :D

*prays for car to come back today*

anyway for those that weren't listening to triplej 2 mins ago..

there was this guy who borrowed his mates BMW then said it was "stolen". He got it resprayed, then a few weeks later showed it off to his mate "hey look man i got this cool new beamer now too".. of course his mate worked it out pretty quickly, and he was busted.. :D he was a muzza from the sounds of the name too .. :(

    • Actually, ethanol has probably never been cheaper, on a tax free basis, than petrol. With fuel excise being what it is, and only being levied on the hydocarbon component, not the ethanol component, and ethanol for non-drinking purposes not being subject to liquor excise - E85 was cheaper, but not because the combustible liquid itself was particularly cheaper.
    • Maybe? If changing the cat to a higher flowing cat, caused the turbo to spool more quickly, and those areas of the map had not been tuned for the boost level it is now seeing, then yes you would need a re-tune. How dangerous it is running without the updated tune would depend on how far out the tune is with the now higher boost levels, how the engine protection has been setup, is the ECU compensating with a wideband sensor, is the boost control closed loop blah blah million other things... But yeah having said that, I wouldn't be surprised if changing out the cat for a high flow, in say a full 3" exhaust, made no noticeable difference at all.
    • Ah yep. I asked a auto electrician about getting a cheap rebuilt alternator vs a new one. He also said he used to it back in the day but it ended up costing similar to what a new one would and recommended getting a new one,.
    • Ah, to clarify if the car has already been tuned and has been modified and you want to go from a oem cat to a 100 cell or decat or vice versa. Are you saying that the car doesn't need to be tuned after a cat change if it's already been tuned?
    • This has been covered a bazillion times but google wet boiling point vs dry. Motul is only good when it's fresh, once it absorbs moisture it gets pretty average very quickly. So as above, make sure you change it if you're going racing. I run the Endless brake fluid in mind, but only because a mate is a distributor and it's cheap. It's not quite as good as SRF but I'm running 380mm rotors on a Skyline so it's not like they get hot.
