i did mine and it seemed to go fine

ah the pickup came off, bummer man

i used a 040 so inbuilt pickup

but yer using one of those in the tank is no different to the standard pump

both have exposed terminals ect

if puttin a 910 in a tank is bad, whats nissan doin puttin stock pumps in a tank

Yeah mine was fine, but the next day it was no go. Pulled it all out and realised the pickup had come off, probably due to using the wrong hosing which had warped after being in fuel for a night.

Then was told it was wrong pump, then told it was ok.

So the orginal is in and I need to install the Bosch again *big sigh*!

probably make sure theres no way for the pickup to come loose again,

nah shane, the stock pickup reaches into the tank heaps more than the 040

the 040 is built into the pump so the pump has to be mounted further down the pickup

i havent run it down too far but i pushed it down to the empty bar and it was still running so i think its not too bad

probably the best method is too actually soak the rubber in petrol overnight so that it expands before you put it in..

my pickup fell off.. drove it around the block few times.. opened it up again.. saw it had come off.. put it back on.. drove around block.. opened up again next day just to check .. seems to have been ok since.

yeah... it was a bit difficult to find the spot.. but i checked the stock spot a few times just to see where it sat stock.. then made sure the aftermarket one went in exact same spot.
