Following the critically aclaimed success of the two part mini-series of the revamped Battlestar the initial 13 episodes aired first on Sky One as they partially funded the new series. The show began in the US on January 14, 2005.

13 eps it is then.. they jsut started showing on US tv (and aust).. reckon they'll probably wait to see how it fares b4 deciding how much budget to blow on the next season
