good choice Dave!!

Ditch those shitty semi's you had at wakie too - get some re55's or r888's!

turbo choice...I have no idea..I liked my GTRS with 255rwkw

what power are you hoping for? 280 - 300rwkw?

Yeah 280-300 would be nice, TO4GTR reckons with today's standard of tuning 300+ is no problem on an onopened 25.

I dunno wether I want to push it over 300 though, if it was forged then the sky would be limit, hence why I was thinking of building it.

And Security- don't sell the car mate I need another club member to have the same rear bar as I'm planning on getting..............................

I mentioned it before and had no bites so I'll say again,

East Bear front bar and side skirts, Veilside rear bar.

Am I crazy?????????????????

havnt bothered to google cause you said gayilside..

ok i actually looked and dont like the rear bar. EB front bar looks awesome but cant find side skirts on their website..

Going to be buying genuine or aus copy?

Been there done that.....well without the supercharger Zebra.

My last car before the skyline was a built stroked 350 chev with a NASCAR spec 010 4 bolt block 500hp in a HZ statesman, WHAT A CAR! Went like nothing else in a straight line........................when you wanted to turn or stop that was a very different story!!!!!!

I do miss it though, I'll see if I can find a couple of old pics and scan them

That what im talking about!!@!@

Im building a 351 atm, simple because parts are so much cheaper, and they sound better...and well v8s are in the blood :P

But yeah, good to hear you are keeping the current car.

Glad to hear you've got your plan of attack sorted Dave. Sometimes you just have to weight it all up and see how much you are attached to your car.

300 sounds like a good number for an unopened bottom end. I say do and if the bottom end lets go then sort it out with forgies and maybe a 30 at that point. Also good advice from Chubs, get some nice stickie tyres that'll make the next track day loads of fun. I miss my slicks, but don't miss doing 8 tyre changes in a day so I can run at the track.

Thanks a heap guys you've helped me see the light.

2.0- if you have a look on the powerplay imports site under eastbear there is a side on shot of a grey 33 which shows the side bars. I have to sus out if it's gonna be too low though, I had a look at a jun style front today and quite liked it.

I'm not 100% on the rear bar, I'm after something that will fill out the back more and would like to have somesort of diffuser, that's why I like the veilside.

I really like the topsecret style cf diffusers but I think my exhaust will foul on it. When I'm on the computer and not the iPhone I'll post up some pics I've been collecting of different rear options.

Every one says you would be 'starting again' if you got a GTR, this isnt really true as most GTRs up for sale have quite a few mods already, like mine for example, I have not bought a single upgrade other than building the engine. And that has worked our FAR cheaper than the GTST did.
