Hey forum thinking of getting a garret turbo with these specs:

Turbine: exducer diameter-stage2, inducer diameter-stage2, trim-t4, divided housing and a/r .84

Compressor: exducer diameter-70mm, inducer diameter- 44mm, trim-58 and a/r .50.

What rwkw range should I expect with that type of turbo on an rb25det? Will be running at least 20psi of boost through the turbo.

Engine is built with a stock head with aftermarket ecu, upgraded injectors and fuel pump.

No model name just a garret turbo with those specs. That's why I put it on the forum to see if any knew if that turbo would support at least 300rwkw.

Sounds like a cheap knock off, that gay 'stage 2' shit is a dead giveaway...

It was an add I saw on ebay. Private seller. The pics of the turbo have garret stamped on the comp housing, just thought it was real and would be able to get me to 300rwkw. I have some pics of it attached below.

It looks like a bush bearing t3/t4 sorta thing... Got no info on the exhaust side apart from it being a t4, which is plenty big enough for that power, and a 70mm compressor wheel, and a .5 ar on that side, Which is a little small, so it would lead me to believe it's a turbo designed for lower boost on a big engine, so 20psi would be getting a little past it's efficiency range...

300kw shouldn't be much of a problem though...

This is a typical diesel turbocharger. Should make around unresponsive 450HP.

I think you mean comp wheel diameter is 70mm, exducer refers to the exhaust side where the gas exits. That being said their claim that it's a 58 trim is wrong, try something more like a 39 trim.

Even though it's probably dirt cheap it's an old style turbo that's probably most suited to a truck and if you did buy it you'd have to adapt your manifolds t3 flange to t4 which would be a prick.

Its a truck turbo and its going to cost you lots of money to put it on only to find out its rubbish for what you want to do.

Get hypergear to make you a 300rwkw highflow and bolt it back on.
