Cobb Access Port Upgrade

Anyone in Sydney had a Cobb access port upgrade. If so please give us a run down on the benefits and gains. Any downsides (other than the obvious warranty thingo) and who installed it for you and for how much? Also, did you need to upgrade anything else (i think a midpipe is strongly recommended). That about covers it I think. If there is no one in Sydney I would also value anyone elses oppinion on it.

I'm in Sydney and have the Cobb AP - with three Willall tunes. E85, E85 drag and 98 tunes - provided by Martin. About 385awkw. It really is as good as per the thousands of posts and threads the world over. I think i ran a 11.1 @ 128mph on the 98 tune and 10.7 @ 132mph on the E85 tune (full weight) at WSID so compare these times to stocker numbers and you can see the benefits are pretty clear. Can't think of a downside really! For E85 you will need upgraded injectors and fuel pumps.

The COBB is the 'must have' mod.

with the new version including TCM support you would be mad to look at anything else.

many people have run either mail order tunes or custom tunes with impressive gains reliably on both the street and track.

Well i bit the bullet last Friday. The blokes at CRD did a great job.

Wow what a difference. The most noticeable thing so far is the mid range torque increase. No matter what speed or what gear, when you drop the foot it just pulls like a bastard.

congrats. the COBB is certainly good bang for your buck. when combined with a midpipe it is spectacular for the money.

have you played with the TCM functionality?

hi,

I'm GTR new owner in Perth, my car have been COBB tuned but don't know with which map or TMC.

Does any one in Perth have the access port so i can see what i have and if i should upgrade.
