Anyone else drifted in GTA3 before?

I've been drifting a nice skyline skin (looks like a JGTC car hehe) around a bit and it took me a while to get the right setup going so its stable etc.

anyone else managed to do this?

also can anyone tell me how to capture video in gta3 without causing heaps of lag?

uhh..... i can kinda on that big patch of grass in hepburn. but i can drift for short times in the city.

Set up a 300zx with about 600 hp, then drop it as low as it will go, put 5 degree camber on the front wheels, stiffen the suspension and do that midnight city course 'Can't remember the name'.. The best drift set up I found on the game..

Too much power and you'll keep looping it...

Also set the Traction control to very Low... and put street tyres on

I have a nice VeilSide Supra skin for the Yakuza stinger

in the rain, on the 2nd island..I'd floor it down the street infront of your hideout and drift the u-turn's on each side much fun

I found the best car to drift were the Huge ones off the first island lol...

doesnt matter what car, just depends on the setup... easiest way is to modify the setups heaps.

basically the best way is to modify the maximum turning angle and the amount of grip in the rear and of course better suspension for less body roll etc... there are pretty straight-forward instructions in the handling.cfg file at the top hehe. just open it in notepad and follow instructions

please note that the physics engine isnt THAT great, so some of the less apparent effects of certain aspects of a car dont exist. and of course no camber angles, which is kinda cruddy, but recovering is never really a problem at all so no need.

yeah that makes some great drifting, some custom 'shot out' tyres

setting the LSD initial and acceleration really low helps too (for playing gran turismo a spec)

ive played both gt3 and gta3 to death. can wait for gt4 and san andreas
