im on HPX's and there great, much better then OEM. i noticed much less dust aswell,, and they dont fade anywhere as quick. still would like a bit more thoe...

so will change next time to the AR1M's and see how much they wear the rotors, looking at new rotors anyway.

I'm using ar1m pads in the front with standard size dba 4000 xs rotors.. They dust more then I would like and still the rotors are not big enough.. If you feel you are going to be heavy on the brakes I would def up the size.. I've got the hpx on the back with slotted rotors

im noticing since the tyre and rim upgrade that its alot harder to brake..possibly looking at a dba upgrade soon.

BTW you checked ebay U.S lately.. seen BREMBO 6 pots for $500 on there (for all 4 calipers near new :) ).. but most of them are U.S only.. probably kill us on shipping. but i did see one auction with complete rotors and 6 pot brembo's with brand new lines for $900. cheap as mustard. to suit a 350z.. dare say thats us.

and on a random note - my rear left suspension has started to creak.. dammit - hope its not those springs spoolin! :) (but could be my old rear shocks , or something not greased up!)

Nah, just get some of those hectik Brembo covers... apparently they melt when too hot as well! Someone had some on a V35 and did a track day... full of fail.

If you have wheels (need the clearance, they'll fit behind those rays anyday), look into a R32 GT-R conversion. I have the fronts, 4 pot sumitomos, and original X-drilled rotors, Jetwreck has the same, except he got a bracket conversion to run a bigger disc- a 330mm i think?

A cheaper route than Brembo's. Prob just as good?

I'm just waiting till I get some wheels, then they'll be going on!

brembo upgrade need brackets made or anything? or do they just bolt up... I got some stuff thrown into container in US might see if I can squeeze some brembo's in.

also would they fit under CE28's?

just from my experience i wouldnt bother buying the expensive DBA's like i did unless your upgrading your dia. and caliper size its just not worth the money.. sure the pedal feel and stopping power was improved a little.. i just reckon the money should be out into a larger fit out.. if i was doing it again thats what i would do!!

Sorry Alex bit hard to reply to pm as I use iPhone so it doesn't let me type in pm's. Will try to reply some time tomorrow. But to answer it. I having trouble contacting him. And not sure if one still going back and forth. Bit will explain in pm.

As for brakes, I'm happy as is. But if upgrade is cheap enough he'll who wouldn't want bigger better brakes

fair call .. good advice PM_Mad

we should probably start a m35 brake thread, for this info of clearances for rim size and what brake mods people have done to their m35's

if there isnt one already :?

Have a look through this , and look through the links. Gives a couple of options- 4 pot sumitomos(GT-R/ GTS-T) / brembos

M35 brakes

There is a bracket available to upsize the discs on the sumitomo to Brembo size. Looks like most of the conversions are not hard, but just depends on how much money you want to spend - brembos are at least 2 or 3 times as expensive- you pay for the name.

I don't think any conversion will actually fit behind stock wheels ( without spacers)

I thought warped front rotors were only available as an option on the ARX :(

No, standard on the whole range...lol

My vote is for Hawk pads ... and to top it off running the R32 calipers with slotted rotors.
