might sound/look silly, but i had in my old car these big sheet thingies (kinda padded) that i left in the boot for covering car parts/tyres etc that i was moving around, but i would have used in the event of hail if need be. just something to lessen the impact on the panels, better than nothing.

if it comes through and you're still awake, make put some towels out on the flat panels? any like shopping areas with covered parking nearby?

My dad called me saying there was large hailstones in Rosebud at about 5:45pm. Haven't seen anything around here (Croydon.)

Looks like most of the thunderstorms will happen overnight - outside doesn't look too bad atm! (South Eastern Suburbs)

Nothings been happening up this way. there was a flash thunderstorm for about 5 minutes about 5ish. It went from sunny to thunder and heavy rain (no hail) within minutes. Now it's fine, bit cold.
