as stated, im getting my 3 piece enkei RS Evolutions Rebuilt, and the front 2 are getting new outer barrel.

color will be full matte black bolts will be gold

so on the front i will be sitting 17x9 and the rears will be 17x10

originally the 17x9 were on the rear and 17x8 on the front

so front getting an extra 2 inches and popping them straight onto the rear.

guards will be getting pulled by about 1-2cm to try and fit in the rims.

i will be hoping the rears will be sticking out an inch at least, and front will be nice and flush.

currently running 215 45 17's for the 9j rims and still tossing up on what i should run the 10j's on, its either going to be 225's or 235's

what would you guys suggest?

and all up incl tyres will cost me around the $900 mark

p.s these are the real enkei rs's not the fake ones.

they will go on my s2 stagea

hmmmm, never thought about the satin, may actually invest in that, iva always had matte black, from my pc case to my older cars and car parts.

i shall see how much extra that may be.

depending on how much you flare the guards, I would say go with the 235's on the 10j rears. My brother has gram lights 57 pro's 18x10 +12 all round on his s15 and the tyres are stretched, but not over the top stretched (it looks really good)

definately go satin black.... my te37's r satin and they r awesome lol.

ill get some pics soon, cars a lil broken in the garage atm :whistling:

also i run 245's or 255s on the rear of mine and 235's up front and thats on 9.5's all around.

hmmm, those gold ones tm7gtr posted up, are close to the same dish as mine, pretty nice, i guess ill go with 235, seems to be a nice stretch. will be getting the cheap crap tyres though, kumho ecstas k31 i think they were, they are very soft and burn rubber really fast. but therefore grip is superb.

dont know if the offset will be changed, since its still the same distance from the inner dish as before.

offset will change (for the better) as the midpoint of the wheel width will move outward roughly half of the increase in width overall while the hub stays stationary. brake clearance will stay the same

changing the outer lip on 3 piece wheels wont change caliper clearance at all.

yeah, i get that lol

was more asking just incase he had different faces on the fronts and rears.

my first set of professors couldn't be swapped due to differing faces.

oh yeah, ive never really gotten the whole offset thing really, but either way, i still need the spacers to clear my suspension :D but only on the rear.

did you need spacer before getting them widened... If not, i suggest putt the outer rim that is currently on the rear on front and putting new widened lip on the rear...

Double handling you say, well think about it...

You wont need to add spacers as the inner rims and wheel faces will remain the same just widening front and rear outer rims only...

Most staggered sets of wheels have different inner wheel widths and different brake clearances on front and rear faces for brake clearance.

And yes offsets will change and because your widening they will go from a high offset to a lower offset as you are increasing the outer rim width and by doing that changing distance from centreline to hubmount plane.

offset is the difference between the hubmounting surface (plane) with respect to the midpoint (centreline) of the wheel width centre.

+ve offset if its closer to the outer ie less dish or sit under guard

-ve offset if its closer to the inner ie more dish or closer to body or sit outside guard

anyway this pic should explain

Also if you domt mind me asking, whos spinning up these new barrels (outer rims) for ya...

I can only think of 2 mobs,

one ive dealt perfectly with, the other is a c*%^ that just doesnt wanna do odd jobs such as widening

paid him 50% pf his quote, he said 4wks then pay balance on pickup

only 14wks later i had to force them to give my wheels & money back cos he hadnt even started yet...

PM me as the above was at least 3.5-4.5yrs ago

and i need to go down this path again with 2 other sets of wheels...

    • S2/3 GT-R is the same as S2 GTS-t The SRS airbags module in under the centre console. The S1/S1.5 GTS-t and S1 GT-R had the module built into the steering wheel. FWIW, I have a S3 GT-R wheel in my S2 GTS-t shit box. Same airbag plug, airbag light goes on then off, meaning all systems are go. S3 GT-R has red stitching, that's about it.
    • Dumb question, but why would it matter if the wheel came off a car with hicas or not?
    • Hey to anyone that reads this, long time lurker first time posting, sorry if it’s been answered before but I’ve been looking for nearly a year now for answers. ive got a 25det neo in an r32 that works awesome when it works (made 500whp on 21psi) but works 45% of the time, 1st issue there’s a harness that runs under the passengers side front fender that my tire keeps rubbing through and one wire seems to power the fuel pump even though I’ve done the relay “mod” some people like to call it, and when it does rub through it kills the car, yes next time I’m with the car I want to take the fender off and try tuck the harness well out of the way but I’d also like to try and by pass this mysterious wire as well lol, also wouldn’t mind getting power from the alternator as I’ve read it supplies the pump with 13v ? But no idea where to run the power wire too. 2nd issue, when replacing my fuel pump and fuel hanger I managed to break the factory fuel level sender leaving me with no fuel gauge, I’d like to buy the fpg fuel level sender for r32/s13 but the plug it comes with confuses me, I’ve got a detschwerks x1 fuel hanger which has light + pump - level + pump + and a ground, I’m no auto sparky but I’m wondering if I can cut the plug off the fuel level sender and wire the negative to the pump negative and wire the positive to the level positive to get a fuel gauge back ?🥴 3rd and final issue, the reason I want a fuel gauge is because whenever it’s below half a tank, it fuel starves like crazy and runs like a bag of shit even without doing a pull or sloshing the fuel round in the tank, I’d also like to fix this but have no idea what’s causing it, I’ve got a dw420 and a dead head fuel setup meaning the fuel is regulated before it gets to the engine, my only theory is that the return line is to close to the pickup on the pump and when it’s at half a tank the return line is causing the pump to cavitate enough to cause fuel pressure issues, that or the pump isn’t low enough in the tank which I would find strange considering I can’t find a single thing online about it, also if ya wondering how I figured out it happens at half a tank without a fuel gauge, I waited until it started happening and went and filled up and the car took exactly 30 litres every time I tested it, if ya managed to read through this mess I appreciate that and any recommendations , cheers
    • ChatGPT is trash and lies about things I would not expect it to lie about considering many things it's wrong about are very easily verified with google. The S3 R33 GTR shares its steering wheel with R33 GTSTs of the same production year. Part number is 48430-26U17. I'm guessing you have to get it from a car that came with HICAS though, the ER33 is 48430-26U18, but the HR33 diagrams note that part number is still leather vs 48430-26U13 which is not leather-wrapped. They all use the same airbags, so if you need another one you can get it off basically any same year R33 or Stagea.
    • I'm going to run hard lines front to back in the future. That should help dissipate a bit more heat. If not, a fuel cooler might be next
