when are we all going to get together for an ADM cruise?

i know that logistically it wont work for some people BUT this would be a once in a lifetime opportunity to round up as many ADM's possible which still exist

is this a feasible idea?

I'm fortunate as I have a JDM too........ I drive it heaps and love it!

The ADM is a collectible like stamps, coins and artwork. The enjoyment is often in the ownership, not necessarily in the drive.

I get paranoid about getting hit or it getting vandalised but I love knowing it's there whenever I want to tinker with it.

Sounds stupid I know but that's just the way I am.

Fortunate you are my friend.

I wished I had two GT-Rs in my garage.

She looks very nice indeed, clean and straight.

Here's a question for you guys, did the ADM R32 ever come in Crystal white color (326)?

Im not as lucky as this guy, but I have 5 surfboards that give me my adrenaline rush.

So, I'm not unique?

Eccentricity is not unique either is it?

Yes...... We've all been there but fortunately I'm out the other side now. I had 3 under 3...(twins) 20 years ago.

I couldn't afford a 1:43 scale GT-R then let alone what I have now but as time goes things fall into place.

Cheers...... Bob.

hi guys,

i need some opinions as i am interested in gaining feedback on this...

i recently removed the bigger HKS turbos i had fitted to the car & have been contemplating on what should be my next steps. 1 of my good mates thinks i should restore it back to factory, cover it & leave it in the garage - this i cannot do as i dont see the point in owning the car & preserving it for the next potential owner - i want to enjoy the car & fact is that i hardly drive it anyway (its lucky to see the sun once a month, yes sad i know). i still have the factory turbos & factory parts for the car so now i am thinking if i should bring it back to OEM or leave it as is with larger turbos & enjoy it the way i like - with more power.

i guess i have the option of restoring it when i want but maybe there is no point unless i was selling the car to an enthusiast who expects this.

i think i just answered my own question!?

Marco...... My comments will come of no surprise who have read my previous posts.

You have a stunning car that should increase in value over time. For it to do that, a collector needs to be attracted to your car.

These cars are well and truly passed the stage where someone will buy them as a daily drivers. Those days went 10 years ago.

Collectors want originality, they want to see what Nissan did back in 1991 to make these things cult cars. The further way from stock you go, the closer you go to competing with a similar speced JDM car. The attraction of our cars is the uniqueness and quirky differences to the JDM's.

Look at things realistically, you admit you hardly drive the car anyway, so what if it's a bit slower cause it's stock? I drive my JDM at least once a fortnight and can't believe how beautiful the ADM in by comparison. Don't get me wrong, the JDM is nice but it's like comparing Tracey Grimshaw to Miranda Kerr..... Get my drift?

Personally I would restore it to stock, and sell any of the non-original parts and enjoy the CASH! We can all do with some extra stuff eh.

Just get out and drive it at least once every 3-4 weeks for an hour or so.

On a different note, I picked up a couple of extremely rare items this week. Paid far too much for the poster but hey what do you do if that's what it takes? ....... The tail lights, they are a bargain I'm so rapped with them!

thanks bob for your input - grimshaw LOOOOOL that is a great analogy. i'd personally be happy with kerr or hawkins, just putting it out there :)

i fear if i restore it back to factory that i will become bored of the power delivery (im a HP junkie)...anyway, i'll make my decision soon, 1 way or another.

i originally bought my gtr back in 2004 for 40k from a close friend in which i then added a few mods & sold it in 2006 for the same price...i then bought it back from the same guy in 2011 for practically the same price. i understand your view on keeping it factory, however, i personally don't think the mods on my car affected its value when it changed hands BUT as these cars get older & appreciate, enthusiasts will want to see all the OEM parts.

those tail lights are an absolute fluke - did u buy them just in case something happens to your car, for safety factor?

with regards to that poster - how much would you charge for a full scale copy & print on photocopy paper? i seriously want it & it may become a bit of a 'cash cow' for you :)

Marco........ In regards to the tail lights they are an insurance policy. I would be devastated if the originals were damaged, not to mention destroyed in a smash. What do we do then?

I love collecting this stuff so I try not to let opportunities like this go by.

When I get the poster, I'll take it to Officeworks and to a printer I know who can probably replicate it. I'll sus it out and let you all know as I'd love to recoup some of my initial outlay. My initial thought was to pay up to $70.00 but with 7 hrs to go, the auction was already up to $165.00! Anyway....... I'm less cranky at myself for paying over the odds than being a tight arse and missing out on something quite rare.

Cheers........

Bob.
