If I was a mining magnate, I'd be aiming for an R35 minimum or just go straight to the top and get a Veyron. There would be a 2 door A9X sitting next to that as well. Talk about having 2 cars which are world's apart in many ways :)

Richard - was the owner you spoke to the second owner?

Yes - It wasn't Skaife, It was Terry

His wife drives the GTR R34 Vspecii Nur very well.

(and she likes my 32 a lot which made me feel all good inside)

Edit: I would have put money on Bob buying it

Looks like the R34 GTR NUR also advertised by the same owner is also unavailable.

So the cheapest ADM 32 on the market is $45k. Is this the benchmark starting point from here on?

No....... The Newcastle car is still there..... http://www.carpoint.com.au/all-cars/private/details.aspx?R=SSE-AD-2034330&Cr=3

Bob.

Yeah........ Sorry my mistake.

Yes.... but that car has been for sale for ages.

We simply need a great example to go through a Shannons auction and the sold price becomes the yardstick.

It will happen in time, It always does.

Bob.

Exactly, that gtr is not a good benchmark due to high km, respray is not factory colour, reupholstered seats and general wear & tear looks like it has been used a lot BUT at least the owner enjoyed the car :)

I more looking at the dollars. If high k average cars are starting at $45k then I am a happy man, but then again, someone actually needs to buy it for around that money to make it real.

I understand that Shannon's had issue's getting over $40k for the last ADM they had at Auction (18months to 2yrs back?)

Has anyone managed to have theirs insured for over say $45k over this time?

I also believe they don't insure JDM's no matter the condition for over $35k.

I bought my ADM for $53,500 from a Shannons Auction in November 2010 so they could hardly argue about the price.

The last one that sold through them is owned by a forum member.

IMHO - Good original cars with low mileage (under 60,000 kms) that are fully documented are worth $60K, so make adjustments from that base price.

Bob.
