Here you go Tony..........

I just scanned this out of Australian Road and Track Feb 1993.

It was featured in a couple more mags but I just don't have time to find them all.

Hmmmmmm Attachments dont work?

Thanks Bob,

Interesting article with the lap times of the Recaro/Momo GTR within 3 secs of the race GTR lap record (Oran Park). I wonder whether that was with the factory boost limiter in place or removed?

Absolutely. You only have to see how much people have paid for rusted out falcons with the right VIN#. Collector world is kind of a parallel universe.

New blocks from Nissan come without an engine number, you are expected to stamp the original number onto it when you install it. In any case Nissan (including FAST) does not provide a link between engine number and vin# so you cannot prove a claim that an engine is or is not original.

Nissan Australia did keep a track of engine number as the original number is stamped on the plate on the firewall for Australian Delivered examples and is also documented in the delivery certificate paperwork.

ADM GTRs have a unique VIN so they wont come up in FAST.

Agree FAST does not list engine number details for JDM versions, only way to track would be if the original Japanese delivery paperwork was with the car. This, from my experience is very very rare, original service history is very hard to get let alone any other documents for JDM's.

Is this one on the list??

Black ADM 170Ks in Carins. One owner, no modifications, asking 45K.

Has a separate listing for the number plate too.

A bit steep for a car with 170,000 km's.

And it has an aftermarket exhaust.

He also want $20K for those custom plates:

IF money was no object id go the red one on carsales for $75K with 31,000kms.

Better value overall IMO.

Jim's red GTR now listed as $70000 asking price represents great value for an immacculate and original car, in my opinion.

On 9 news brisbane last night there was footage of a maroon adm gtr that had been stolen and run over road spikes. Bit of a mess, the owner must be shattered. Had aftermarket rims on it. Cant find any footage sorry.

poor bloke

Could it be 'ONBAIL' gtr with gold gold rims?

Not sure man, just got a glimpse of the footage and looked straight for the antenna which to my surprise there was one.

Agreed Chris on the proviso that there's an inverse proportion between value and kilometres (as well as condition).

I saw this Silver R32 GTR ADM today in Melbourne traffic- Cnr Spencer and Dudley Sts, West Melb.

REG RFC-21, obviously a mad Richmond Football Club fan.

Do we have this one on the list?

Just letting you know this is 17258 build number 99

Hello all as i have known of this for a while now i shall let you in on a little secret. Alot of you dont know that you can retrieve info from your local road authority of your state over the internet. So if you have a rego of a vehicle and you want to find out the chassis/engine numbers each state will either give you a full or part of these details. So that is how i found the details of the silver gtr from melbourne by the rego and here are some short cuts to help you all out. This also helps to verify details when buying a car.

Yeah, I have been using the online info for awhile now to verify car details etc, but I was more interested in the personal side of things of whether you knew the owner.

You don't see many of these around anymore and especially in peak hour traffic!

    • The MX5 has had some annoying rattles in both front doors over bumps So I installed fancy pants door bushings, which stopped all of the rattles with the windows up, but........with the windows down there was still rattles, so after some googling,  and a chat with MX5 Mania, I got some new door to glass weather seals, all the rattles, windows up, or down, are gone now Shout out to MX5 Mania, the weather seals were on sale, and when I head to Dural to pick the up they even fitted them for me for free I did see a "really" nice Blue NA sitting out front   and this Black NC PRHT that looked like it has sat in the sun for its whole life and never had a wash, the clear coat was non-existent, an it looked horrible, really horrible, but, it had a nice turbo kit with over 200kw, the thing went like a cut snake, bagging the rears through the gears and dosing like a champ 😍 But, as I've always stated, I am keeping my NC na, I'm happy with the current power the car makes In other news: MX5 Mania do a drive in drive out turbo kit, the only minor additional part recommended for boosting my car, as it sits now, is a oil cooler, and that bonnet vents are definitely required for track use Aftermarket version look a bit to "racecar" spec I wonder how Focus RS bonnet vents would look?????
    • Paint is only structural when applied to the outside of Chinese and Indian cars. Otherwise it should never be present between mechanical joints that were intended to be metal to metal. Pain slips, slides, cracks, compresses, and add thickness that wasn't intended to be there. It comes firmly under the category of "just no".
