U are selling it for the right reason. I sold my ADM back in 05 to buy a house and then I actually bought back the same ADM only a few years ago.

Only word of advice I can give u is "stay in touch and close to the new owner when it sells"...it worked for me :)

1991 Nissan Skyline R32 ADM GTR

The car is in fantastic and original condition for it's age and waiting for it's new owner. It's completely standard apart form the CD player, the gear knob and ash tray which i am currently looking for one. It's unmodified and in it's original state.

Colour: Silver

Built: 1991

KM: 81,000km

No: 43

Price: $55,000
Location: WA

The car is unlicensed currently has been kept in storage in a garage for the last 6 years so the weather has not aged her a bit.

Just wanted to post a link here to a guide I just wrote on my blog about rare R32 Skyline models - including the ADM cars:

http://23gt.blogspot.com/2015/06/rare-air-guide-to-limited-edition-r32_30.html

Once I found out about the ADM GT-Rs I found it was a very interesting story especially to an American like me who's only now seeing legal Skylines come in to the country in quantity. I think other Skyline fans here in the US will find it fascinating as well.

Mucho thanks to Aussie_Delivered_R32_GTR for the use of his pics and the extra info he provided.

Bathurst 12 hr eh? - enjoyed watching the R35 toy with the field this year John? I sure did - amazing performance.

That number plate mount wouldn't be too hard to make - a laser cut blank run through a small set of rollers then painted. If there are 10 people who would like one I can make up a batch. If there's interest I'll price it. It is a huge improvement on the standard one....

I would be a starter for one please

Beau is a friend of mine and has been a fastidious owner of this ADM. The new owner may need to decide before buying as to whether he/she intends to keep the Kms below 200,000Kms and hardly ever drive it or to drive it wherever with a smile!

Hi Terry,

I'd love to see this get up off the ground. I'd get an unregistered permit for the day and take the ADM....... Hasn't really been out since the 25th Anniversary Day.

I'd be happy to be interviewed and provide all the history.

The xpose could and should cover the difference between ADM's and JDM's and then throw in my other car, V-Spec 2 and then Terry's V-Spec 2 N1.

If we could get a NISMO it would almost be a Royal Flush.

I have no doubt that if an event like this gets the coverage from a publication and participants, it would truly be very successful.

Keep me in the loop Terry, happy to help if need be.

Bob.

Im currently cleaning up my Nismo! :-) would love to be there next year for that if it happens.

Hi guys,

Unfortunately I am not a fellow ADM owner, but I am hoping someone with one might be willing to help me out.

I have been searching for one of these elusive rear number plate panels for a long time, but to no avail.

I narrowly missed out on purchasing the one from the silver wreck that was at skyline spare about a year ago.

Does anyone know of any wrecks hidden away that may want to part with it, or even allow me to have it replicated and return the original?

I know many of you are concerned that NISSAN have had no stock of these for some time, and are worried that if something were to happen to the rear end, there would be no replacements.

Id like to try and replicate it and crate some moulds, so that if it ever came down to it, i could produce some spares.

I could possibly even try to have the original scanned and 3D printed to take the mould from that, so the original wouldnt be damaged in any way.

Is someone out there able to help with this?

Hi Guys, I'm a Newbie around here and have found a lot of great information. I am keeping my eyes opens for an R32 GTR at the moment and don't have the sort of $$ that some of the ADM R32s appear to go for. No doubting their collectability or value, it's just a bank balance thing. :)

I have just stumbled across this one a I am curious if it could be a legit ADM? VIN: 6U9000BNR32221617 It is a silver 1992 with 85000km and is currently unregistered. It will need some work, but I am happy to complete that over the coming years, if it sees me in something that is a bit more special.

Looking through how you guys track them it appears it would be build no 21617, which is a long way off all the ones that seem to be tracked here.

Is there something I am missing, were there maybe others bought in by Nissan that were not part of the 100?

I would greatly appreciate any advice.

Thanks

Paul

With the "6U9000" prefix to the vin that is not an ADM. It is a sept 1992 JDM model, factory silver.

July 1991 to June 1992 JDM models were not not allowed to be imported because of the ADM models being locally delivered here through Nissan Australia.

That's great information - Thank You. I was a little suspicions as I also identified that the NSW registration history did not match their advertised story of the vehicle history. They may have an explanation for this though. But I am now better informed of the facts.

How did you know the exact month and colour? Is there a VIN code table that has a break down of the VIN layout and relevant codes so that they can be fully interpreted? I have tried to search to find it and haven't had much luck as there are too many references to VIN. :)

Thanks again

    • Change the transmission fluid. I would try Motorcraft XT-M5-QS if you have it in your area for a reasonable price. Also, double check your clutch is fully disengaging. If you are not pushing the clutch pedal to the floor fully for every shift now is the time to start. Make sure the clutch is fully bled. The damper line requires two distinct bleed points to be purged of air or it will not disengage the clutch properly. If either hydraulic cylinders input or output are losing hydraulic pressure in their seals/leaking you can have problems like this. If you've ruled out everything else then the most likely explanation is the synchros are worn and you need to double clutch the shift or rebuild/replace the transmission. The transfer case is discontinued FYI so you may want to rebuild it while you're in there too. If the chain stretches past spec it can do a ton of damage.
    • You're selling the SS?! How much are you asking on it?
    • My answer would be, that depends. If it's something that can be grumpy to start, runs a bit rich, and is likely an expensive engine, then yes, I would. But there's a few reasons why. Sumps aren't really sealed, there is airways to them, so it is technically open to moisture. Secondly, if as mentioned it has been started, and it's a fuelled up, I'd dump it, as chances are, fuel is in the oil. Next to that comes, how much use had said oil seen before it was parked up. IE, how much carbon, and potentially fuel/water did get in there while it was being used, and has now been allowed to sit, and slowly come together? For the most part, if it's just been something like a road car, stock engine, nothing wild, f**king send it if it's not near oil change spec.
    • I forgot to say Mark, you know how if you lack sleep, we get Grumpy Mark? When I lack sleep I'm Grumpy Matt. We must be the GrumpMa's!
