Yep. Its in there under section 280.

We had a different engine control unit by the looks.

They changed the speed limiter from 180kmh to some unobtainable number.

Also for what it is worth the highest octane unleaded you could buy in Australia in 1992 was ......95.

Ahh ok, what did the bidding get up to Bob?

I don't know as I wasn't at the auction.

That part is misleading anyway as the auctioneers run phantom bids up near the reserve hoping someone will bid to cover the reserve price. If a car has a reserve of $40K, they will run the bidding up to mid-high $30's and hope it crosses the line or at least get close enough to submit the bid and negotiate after the auction. I have bought and sold cars at Shannons auctions so I understand their strategy.

You can't read it now but I remember looking at the inspection report on this car and it did have leaking turbos and quite a few other necessary repairs.

Not withstanding all of that, it looks a lovely car.

Throw a few grand at it and enjoy owning a rare classic!

Bob.

nice pics bob - you obviously love your gtr :)

Yes I do but I was just as interested to see what quality difference there is in my Sony Cybershot camera and my iPhone 4.............

I think the iPhone colouring is actually slightly better!
