Looks great!

WHat would something like this be worth now-days?

I have my eye on a C211 4 door, basically the same as this (EFI though)

Im wondering if its worth useing as a daily driver, or restoring it to condition similar to this!

Honestly mate grab it, the c211 was imported to Australia 30 a month.

The c210 400 a month,

so the c211 is hard to find, even if you hang on to it, its still worth money.

in marios condition thousands

i'm getting a JDM 2000GT-ES for parts, L20ET turbo for $300, hgavent seen it yet but its rusty and too far gone to be saved.

C210/211's in my view shouldn't be used as dailys cause they're so rare these days and being old they can wear out easier and cost more to fix.

Well said, in Victoria my cars are on permit plates i use them on club outings, and on occasions.

If you are lucky to get one preserve them, and get old with it as i did.

Mario.

What is the JDM 2000 GT-ES?

how do you mean?

It's a model of C210 released in Japan.

I believe its the 2nd one down from top tier. mario?

GT-EX>GT-ES>GT-EL>GT-E.

This particular car is a Sedan with a L20ET engine as factory.

I still haven't seen it in person so will report back.

The GT REALLY STANDS FOR GRAND TOURISM,

The GT IS THE FIRST,

GTE HAS THE EFI

THE GTEL HAS THE 2 LITRE CARBY

GTEX HAS THE EFI ITS AN EXCECUTIVE VERSION,

AND OPTIONAL EXTRAS, BUT AGAIN 2 LITRE

THE GTES IS ALL ELECTRICS WINDOWS ETC, But would you believe it has

an analog clock that is quite noisy ticking away.

one more surprise there was a GT.D VERSION IN THE C211 A 2.8 LITRE DIESEL!!

And it that crankshaft which is worth a packet it can be used to beef up a c210 to a 3.1 litre

with triple webers

Of course not forgetting the 1800 4 cylinder c210 which was the Ti.

Cheers

I'm surprised he hasn't been approached about selling it offshore, because I have.

The Paul Newman in my garage has attracted some interest in Japan and I have been offered good money for it and been told there is probably less than a dozen in existence today. Not surprising when in 1997 when my other PNV was imported, was stolen from the crushers with a lousy 57000k on the dial.

Cheers, D

How would i find out for certain what spec this one here is?

Is there a plate in the engine bay that would say it?

It doesn't have the spec badge on it anymore cause the JDM tailights were smashed and TI/AUS ones fitted.

didn't you mention earlier that the GT-EX was the top executive one?

Sorry! Was interested in the model derivative, not the equipment level.

the gtes is the top of the range, if you can manage to take a photo i can tell you what it is.

I dont need a plate. some cars came here with no plate, as mine did.

What are the differences between GT-EX and GT-ES.

Do they both come with the L20ET?

Yes, believe me, the l20et, is no fireball so if power is what you like it will not deliver.

but its good to enjoy your driving, and check out the girls along the way.

If you go too fast you get to miss their looks. :whistling:
