R33 gts25t - what's a standard rebuild likely to set me back? Ball park. I'd be doing no work myself.

How long is a piece of string? Depends on what is wrong with your engine (rings, bearings, valve grind etc or full recondition) and what standard result you want - stock standard or fully forged - say $4K to $15K

You could do it for under 1000 bucks (quick hone, rings, bearings and a Factory gasket kit)

But depends on what is broken inside as to what else you will need to replace

i too am wondering total $ for this type of reubild, my rb25 has 230,000 on the clock, how much to set it back to 0

If nothing is broken... just worn out. Budget 4-5K drive in drive out for a professional workshop.

It would be about the same to buy an importer motor and have it freshed up out of the car, then swap it in when it's ready. At least that way you could still drive around on your old motor.
