Mattw_83
R33 gts25t - what's a standard rebuild likely to set me back? Ball park. I'd be doing no work myself. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/343861-standard-rebuild/ Share on other sites
KiwiRS4T
How long is a piece of string? Depends on what is wrong with your engine (rings, bearings, valve grind etc or full recondition) and what standard result you want - stock standard or fully forged - say $4K to $15K Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/343861-standard-rebuild/#findComment-5543458 Share on other sites
zebra
You could do it for under 1000 bucks (quick hone, rings, bearings and a Factory gasket kit) But depends on what is broken inside as to what else you will need to replace Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/343861-standard-rebuild/#findComment-5543517 Share on other sites

XRATED
If nothing is broken... just worn out. Budget 4-5K drive in drive out for a professional workshop. It would be about the same to buy an importer motor and have it freshed up out of the car, then swap it in when it's ready. At least that way you could still drive around on your old motor.
