Nismo Lsd Troubles

Hi Guys,

I know this has been covered before but im at an end i have a Nismo 2way LSD i bought cheap secondhand (i know why now) and apprently i need a shorter approx 136mm and 30 spline stub axel, my quesion is what car does this come off ???and before you say it comes with the kit i know that and am kicking my self i went for the cheap out option and didnt just spend the extra money.

Some direction would be good im sure there a heaps at wreckers but i have called them all and they dont seem to want to help.. with the exception a few who have really gone above and beyond to help me.

The diff came from an R34 sedan and the previous owner used the small one when re-installing stock diff if this helps.

I'm pretty shure nismo diffs use GTR sub axles... GTR axles are a 6 bolt flange, so you will need 6 bolt drive axles as well.

Ok I'll look into this does it matter if both stubs are the same length and not different ?

If the diff is for a 34GTT then it will use 34GTT axles.

Mine was for 32GTSt and used two standard "short" GTSt axles.

Yeah this one has 30 splines so gts-t ones won't work (29), mech has also tried r34 gtt apprently they are no go either even though the diff came from a 34 SEDAN ( i think this is the issue an open diff or sumtin). Going to get some GTR items tomorrow and try them.

I think anyone who knows anything about Nissan diffs should write a sticky on LSD/VLSD/Stubs/Shafts for this section. I've found heaps of info in the last few days tackling this prob but i wouldnt consider my self an authority.

Ok so after butchering a 32 GTR the stubs still dont fit. any idea's where to go next ? Anyone with r34 diff in parts willing to measure one stub up ?

GTR rear end fits neet to use stubs, shafts and hubs.
