I have seen the graphs, hopefully he will post them up soon. Split .82 rear with twin 40mm gates. Full boost by 3.5k sounds like a win for a 300kw turbo. :)

Wow, even with a free flowing exhaust mine would have been at best 3.7-3.8, TS makes a big difference :D

Yeh, I thought it'd be nice! Even if you lost 10-15kw worth of flow potential because of the twin scroll it'd still be worth it I think.

Awaits graphs...

Edit: is this the setup status was referring to in the 300kw unopened thread?

EPA test is tomorrow morning.. hope it passes....

im going to take the car there nice and warm so the exhaust cat's are heated up and expanded to capture all the crap..

anyone else know of any tricks? :P

I personally know of 4 RBs making over 400rwkw with stock bottom ends on E85, all driven very hard.

A nice safe tune on E85 and you shouldnt have a drama. Kinda makes built engines under this power a waste of money lol

Didn't you just build your motor? haha

I'm with you though, if and when mine goes pop another stocker is going to be dropped into the whole and probably given more hurt than this one is copping :)

Ive had 3 built motors lol

At current Im not sure a stock bottom end would cope with 800hp to long.

Looks like its all going to plan Owen, cant wait for Ethanol results! It comes on a LOT harder/sooner than mine so the setup certainly works ;)

yeah, i absolutely love it! its actually a lot smoother to drive than i was expecting.

Big thanks to trent for the tuning!

e85 gear should arrive next week, then ill book it in for another tune! OH YEAH!

Ha! i was the same with mine, was amazed how smooth it is and its better as a daily than it was before...... E85 will be a serious kick in the pants though if your already getting those results :D Keep us updated as itll be awesome to see another one up and going!

thats a nice looking power curve, how come the torque curve doesnt hold a straight line? is it just different dyno's people are using or is the torque really dropping off

It's always going to drop off...

It's not a 800hp setup that makes all its power above 5000rpm

Not always, for instance these 2 cars almost don't drop any torque between 4000-7000rpm

    • See, that button sounds like perfection Duncan! My eyes really don't like light shining at them from a dash when I'm driving. Being part red colourblind, I've found for most cars that I can change colours on, I set everything to red, so my eyes see the elast amount of colour! I miss normal gauges in cars
    • bro, knowing the Japanese in  the 90's, i wouldn't be surprised if they shared components across their model lineup.
    • Maaaan so many "little" things  i rly hope my old RB20 would be "ok" and not too bad. I try to learn what and what not do i need. I look at crossmember at it looks different...even parts numbers are different. Wiring and all that i rly do not know...yeah someone mentioned the speedo thing. On that yoke clip. I rly do not know what can and cant be done "custom" so that is why iam asking to know and not be suprised 🙂  I know what it looks like
    • Oh, there's also the gearbox crossmember which will probably be different between the small box and the big box, and the wiring loom will probably need to be modified, because the plugs for the switches etc, will probably be different. And I think the speedo on the small box R34s is from somwhere stupid, like the diff, possibly, so you'd need to work out what needs to be done about that (assuming it is different). I think the thing you need to realise is that the front end of that yoke is a large hollow tube with splines on the inside that mates with the splines on the box's output shaft. It is a dedicated thing - not available "aftermarket". They were made to suit that box, by the car's OEM.
