It is a very good car and has proven itself very tough and reliable throughout. It is faster and more capable than many people predicted.

The transmission is only a problem if you are either unlucky or excessively harsh on it. Stories of transmission failures have been blown a little out of proportion.

Wow I'm shocked anyone replied to this question. Your a decent man handbrake. I'll give it a go.

Well methinks the OP lacks a basic grip on the English language so I cannot very well say this... 'why don't you try doing a bit of research. Even a mediocre internet or magazine search will give you the answer. 'brilliant', 'astounding', 'supercar', 'masterful engineering' e.tc. e.t.c for some reason get thrown around a lot. Also winner of multiple awards such as best car and best performance car of the year.'

I can't suggest he do that because the poor bloke may not be able to use the internet very well. Although well enough to post on the GTR forum. Hmmmm.

To answer though... its an engineering marvel. Perhaps the most advanced, ferociously fast sports car you may ever drive/own. Anyone that wishes to launch 50x on a cold start probably can break any transmission.

I like this part ...'even BNR34 is better a lot, is it?'

translated: 'I believe my car is better than the R35'

answer: No. Sorry. No it is not.

Also parts for the R35 are expensive because the car is in a different league. Its $180,000 and does very very fast things on a track.

ps. I recommend you look into a Toyota camry. I hear very good things about their reliability

Today you offend me. you will be offend by other in one day. Dont worry, i dont mind what you say.

This is shapping up to be a "sit back and enjoy the LOL's" thread.

I'm yet to see a car model that has actually gotten worse from one model to the next, especially one from 2001 then a break of a few years, then 2008 so R34<R35.

Also LOL at the comment about the guy not having info because he doesn't speak english.... The internet isn't just English, not to mention translator programs or the fact the Nissan is a global brand.

The R35 is better than the R34 by miles, the 2011 model is shaping up to be much better than the current 2010 model as well.

Reliability is subjective, with so many cars being produced and with so many variables, it is inevitable there is going to be some faulty cars, just like any other car make in the world... There would have been some R34's that blew gearboxes early on as well, all depends on how much publicity the news gets and if you are receptive of the news.

Landrover had the same throttle body issues as Lexus/Toyota did, but it never got that much publicity...

How long is a piece of string?

Im just laughing the the 35 lover boys getting all pantsy because someone dare say their computer with 4 wheels is not the best car ever made

it's not?

my dealer lied to me, i thought they weren't allowed to do that

umm you do realise nissan was using computerised all wheel drive, all wheel steering etc on the R32 GTR around 4 years even before your r33 went into production :(

getting back on topic, the op is right in that aftermarket parts are unnecessarily expensive for the R35 - 1K for JDM sways? I paid half that for the same brand on my 350 years ago. And i dont buy into that, just because its a more expensive car to buy initially, the parts must therefore be more expensive. Thats dealer bs, like porsche/bmw charging me 1k for an oil change, when as far as i can tell, all oil drain plugs unscrew the same
