If the answer to the above question is Yes.., then

Does anyone know whats involved when a workshop removes your gas discharge headlights and replaces them with halogen headlights for compliance? Do they actually prevent the ability to re-fit xenon gas bulbs in the future without installing a new conversion kit?

I'm pretty sure the guy I bought my v35 from did not restore it to original spec after it was complied and now that one of my headlights has gone out the question begs what the hell do I replace it? (My lights are very white, but they are definitely NOT what I would consider bright, so if I'm purchasing new bulbs what are my options>? and what should I expect to pay for each option?

Any insight you can share would be much appreciated.

Please help light me up!

Yeah they do come sock and are removed in compliance.

They are replaced with a H1 bulb. A 55w one. You can get 100w one that is brighter.

To replace a busted bulb you can get to them from the wheel wells. Jacking up your car helps but is not needed.

And yeah you can re-fit the xenon gas bulbs if they left all the bits. If not there are threads in there that can tell you what you need

Thanks for clearing that up.

If I jack up the car remove the wheel and guards then take a photo of the back of the headlight would it be straight forward for someone to identify if I still have all the components left over to reactivate the Xenons?

thanks in advance.
