Purchasing An R33 - What Do I Look Out For?

Hi guys,

I'm a Newbie to Skylines and cars in general. I'm looking at an R33 (not sure what series) tomorrow.

It's white, manual, turbo, no mods except GTR bodykit and exhaust.

Apparently the interior is a pig of a car but the engine has been rebuilt recently due to a friend blowing up their engine.

Price is $7k cash. (I only have $8k).

What should I look out for when I inspect the car?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Does everyone think that Series 2 are much better than series 1 R33's because of the ABS and Airbags?

Up to you if you think the ABS & airbags are worth it... I didn't care that mine didn't have neither, since the car I drove before (VN commodore) had none, its good old seat belts is all I need.

Theres not much difference from the performance side from S1 or S2...

The main difference with the series II is the different stlying. Have a look at a series II and a series I, pick which one you like the look of better (because if you decide to change at a later date it costs a shit load).

lift the space saver in the boot and have a look in there, full of crap, rust and goo is usually a good sign they dont care or know about their car since that is a freebie fix almost
