Hey my Skyline sits way too high!!! want to sit about 12-14 cm

not buying new coilovers for 1k+

$650+ cheapest quote for getting lowered decent amount using springs (By a professional)

$300-$350 springs off ebay etc and maybe DIY(spring clamp $50 or so????)

2nd hand coilovers?? $600???? haven't seen any 4 sale

i know putting springs on original shocks can be bad and wear out your dampers but if Im lowering it to the heights i want will it be ok?

Brenton has done the timing belt on a quad cam engine, done engine swaps, replaced head gaskets etc so he is pretty confident he could do it

links advice and being pointed in the right direction would be appreciated, thanks

Swap suspension for coilovers is straightforward task really.

Just grab a set of coilovers, hell, you can adjust height if you're bored.

I may have a set of coilovers for sale (currently have 5 sets and 4 of them are in garage floor...), is your rear fork or eyelet mount?

Anything to suit r33, Mr Count?

Yeeessss.....

One set is stuffed though, another set have slight knocking sound from rear left and fronts live in my R now, will need to take them out.

You planning on rebuild the coilover or just whack it on?

PM me if you want them.

/Selling products shamelessly in someones thread.

Hamish, wow.................

I'm gona be selling my coil overs hsd tt less than 10000kms done with them lemme know if of interest can come for a spin feel what they are like.

Sadly this is what it sits at now. I had the suspension looked over by a mechanics in St Albans/Sunshine area when I first got the car and his jaw almost hit the ground...he was disgusted by how high it was....and I'm stick of it being called a silver commodore

Below are pics of the current ride height.

To the bottom of the stock skirt is 24cm and to bottom of door sill is 28. something. All unladen.

If you're not going to bother lowering it properly (at minimum lowered springs with properly matched shocks, or better yet coilovers) then don't bother to lower it until you can afford to. Chuck lowered springs on stock shocks and you're not likely to be in for a pleasant ride. Think about it - you're now asking the stock, old, worn-out shocks to work far outside the range the manufacturer intended.

yes and no.... i'd say that the RSR springs i had gave a pretty good ride juliette.... clearly i went for afterarket coilovers, but they actually weren't as bad as you might think
