Oh and thanks Rob (silver 4-door) for demonstrating R33 gt-r rims on a 32, now i've got the ok to buy buy buy :D... she wants a set too now :D

No probs Dave, see you next week at DECA where you can demonstrate how much better a 32 sedan is with a 26 & AWD. ;)

As for 33 GTR rims...... I want another set for track rubber so GAME ON to find some cheap ones before me. :D (just kidding)

P.s. I got roasted too, UV was very deceptive indeed.

Awesome show n shine this year - Loved the location! Too bad more members didn't show to use the most of what we had, but what we had there on display was all quality!

Thanks to the top dogs at SAU for organizing this - Probably see most of you at tomorrows meeting. Was also a pleasure meeting you all. Stand-outs were definitely the Winfield replica R32 (DROOOOOOOOOOOOL SO IN LOVE) and for sure the R34 NUR to top it off! Great day out :D

Good to see from the pics a few clean R33's. Hopefully i can attend on of these events some day.

Count are they 18 x 10 lm's on your car. They look great on the white.

Yeah, they're 18x10 +20 and thanks. Thinking of selling the BBS LM's though.

Thinking of going for aggressive offset rims, hence I'm umm and ahhing about selling it.

I have mixed reactions from people about BBS LM's including me.

i love my lm's and they look sick on ur car too but after seeing steve's wheels on his R dammmm there tuff :D

i wouldnt mind a set but his already rockin them :(

thanks everyone for the kind comments about the car.... not sure if everyone knows it was mine though :laugh:

thanks Ash and co for the organisation - whilst i do agree it's a great venue with plenty around to do, in the interest of pure numbers, i suggest the location is changed - the biggest turn outs have been Como and carribean gardens, as far as i can remember - birramung marr (sp?) was pretty big from memory, may have been restricted entry time, can't remember - just my two cents

and for those that weren't there, this random dude just decides to jump into the passenger seat of my car!! f(cking lol!! hahaha - he thought it was like like the freakin motor show or something, i politely told him it was an "interactive display" :D and then he just walks off! haha, at least try and cover yourself and feign some interest in the car or something hahaha, so so random

anyways, besides having to head off to work and Docklands pathetic excuse for traffic management, it was great day.

Scott, the 32 R is fair ridiculous! amazing, amazing work... but screw the car, i want to see the damn bus!! hahah

hahaha...i agree dan...so interested in seeing scotts bus...that will be insane...but the 32 is far the most insane car that couple of guys build at home...great work on the car scott...

what wheels are on that nur spec? and is it me or is it a different grey to other gtrs??

Nismo LMGT4 wheels made by Rays Engineering.

KR4 - Sonic Silver

KV2 - Athlete Silver

I think Dan's R34 GTR is KV2 - Athlete Silver..?

It is slightly darker towards Gun Metal Grey like what Nissan did with the R32 GTR.

wheels are Nismo GT500 GT4's, factory black

colour is W something i think? i don't think it's a K colour silver... i think it's the same as some of the S15's - so it is slightly different to the normal R34 silvers. Maybe was only on the Nur's?

      R12 has not been not available for....decades now. Propane is not a great replacement. (I mean, it's a great replacement, but it is a bit too flammable). R134a being the only way to go forward with an R12 system. The design pressures etc, are close enough to R12's to work. The ability to move heat around is close enough to R12's to work.

      Out of curiosity, what's the reason for converting? I think @R3N3 might have the Frenchy's kit in the R33? I somehow think of you as the ambassador for realistic and clean street-driven setups nowadays

      careful when running the car after a boil over. Ive heard you can lose enough coolant that it won't show the right temps because of too much air in the system (or something like that). Make sure the levels are good before trying again.  Maybe a mobile mechanic can come have a look with their scan tool ?

      OK, just for some extra clarity - there is more than one option at Frenchy's. 1. You can buy the whole kit - with or without the actual compressor. The whole kit includes mounts, hoses, condensor, etc. That's either ~$2200 or ~$2800. No surgery required with this option. 2. You can buy just the bracket (~$600), or the bracket with the compressor (~$1200). Either of this or the above option "without the compressor" is if you already have an Echo comp or you are able to source one locally. Whatever the case, in this option, you will need surgery done on your hoses to adapt to the new compressor. When I said "the Frenchy's kit", I meant the whole kit in option 1. It is obviously somewhat more $$ than a $1500 OEM compressor. But if I had to spend $1500 on an OEM compressor, I would certainly consider spending double that to renew and significantly update everything forward of the firewall. Another option is to rebuild your original compressor. My R34 comp is currently dead and I will be most likely doing that to it if the spare one in the shed is also leaky.
