knore
Im doing a service on my car soon and want to put the best oil i can find in it, mainly to test the differences between the oil im using now, and the 300v. And also for ofcourse, performance. Does anyone know somewhere that stocks Motul 300v, preferrably in Brisbane. JaseR33
Autobarn at Slacks Creek had it on Friday. Not sure if they'll sell out after the 20%off promotion. I remember it was about $20/L. They have big 4L bottles as well. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/34432-where-to-buy-motul-300v/#findComment-689475 Share on other sites

knore
Went to Stones corner autobahn today, they have the 300V Competition and 300V Chrono which is 15w-50 and 10w-40 respectively it was around $20 a litre They didnt have the 300V Power Racing 5w-30, which i wanted to use So ill go with 300V Chrono which is a bit thicker and holds temp a little higher compared to the 7.5-35 (mineral:( ) i have in my car now. Its the standard nissan oil that gavin woods put in, didnt really want it but it was put in anyway 1500km ago. Will be interesting to see how good the 300v is Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/34432-where-to-buy-motul-300v/#findComment-690123 Share on other sites

knore
At the moment im focused on Motul, mainly because ive read so much good about them not to mention they're japans most preffered performance oil See how things go with the 300v Chrono when i do the oil change sometime next week.. Will post here how it went, how much etc etc I honestly think that we all spend too much time and money making our cars look good, and forget that it needs to run good too. For those who know, My cars booked in for monday for panel repairs. Then off to DMD for some new bits and pieces Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/34432-where-to-buy-motul-300v/#findComment-690880 Share on other sites
DAN00H
be intesting to see what you think of the 300V, I was contemplating it, but ended up going the redline. I'll write a report on the oil after a couple of weeks. JH32
I've got Motul 300V competition oil in mine ... I don't really know how to see the difference, but it's good oil so it must be doing something right! I think it cost me around 80-85 bucks from Motoquipe in Perth Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/34432-where-to-buy-motul-300v/#findComment-693608 Share on other sites
Busky2k
Yep, motul 300V is definitely one of the best oils you can get for under $100. Ive seen plenty of used oil analysis results of cars using Redline, and most of them arent that great. Frankly I reckon Mobil 1 Supersyn does a better job than Redline, in all but extreme conditions.
