As title. For example, the R32 GTR would be weighing in at 1500kg where as the R32 GTS-T would be around the 1300kg mark. What exactly makes it heavier? If it is the AWD system, if you took it out would you get roughly the same weight minus the engine differences?

AWD system approx 150kg.

Plus extra turbo, bigger engine bits, larger intercooler, bigger brakes.

There's the extra....

Aluminum front guards and bonnet are a minor weight saving.

As others have said it's the 4WD and extra turbo/engine bits that bring the weight up.

Why would you want to remove the 4WD setup? you'd be better/cheaper off getting a 32GTSt and putting a 26 in it.

+1, and pump the guards to fit some wide wheels!

To remove some weight, take out the Hicas steering, solenoids, rack, lines etc.

Titanium exhaust, lexan windows, carbon doors, boot, bonnet, sound deadening, carpet, aircon etc.

So what i'm also picking up from the responses are that the RB26DETT is only ~40kg heavier than the RB20DET? lol (50kg minus 10kg to not include bigger brakes and intercooler)

I'd be surprised if the RB26 weighted that much more than a 25.
