My 33gtr has a electronic boost controller installed in it so today i decided i would up the boost from stock to around 12psi, just wanting to know how safe it is to run boost with a stock ecu and how much is stable with the stock turbos if it is safe to run.

i am running on 1bar...which is around the 14psi...that is da max (so called safe) boost you can hit on the turbo....but anything higher will blow the turbos very very quickly...other than that dont think there is anyother issues...car wouldn lean out due to the stock ecu...from what i have heard the stock ecu will adjust its fuel ratio according to the boost...unlike the aftermarket ecus...

pete..is stock really 11? i was pretty sure it was 7...

not really worried about the turbos if they go since they are only stock ones, but more wanting to know will it make my car run lean due to it not being tuned.

no. a tuned ecu actually runs leaner that a stock ecu as the stock ecu's are tuned a bit rich for protection

noob question but there is also no rev limiter or cut of speed on my car would this mean there is a diff ecu in the car or can it be turned of with the stock ecu? Also what about the timing as well any effects there from boosting it from stock?

Ecu will only make changes in closed loop and low load driving for fuel economy using the narrow band o2 sensor, every thing else in high load the ecu does not alter. Raising the boost above stock will have the car run into higher load cells, the question is whether it's safe or not to run the car in those cells.
