OK, im kinda confused now lol

my TPS was at 0.38V, i changed it to 0.45V and now the idle is way high. to be a pain, could you do a step by step process of how to reset my idle (i have done a search, but everyones got different ways)??

0.45v is only a guide to what it should be, anything between 0.35-0.45 is normal. mine is 0.42v and doesn't cause an issue. i would have left it at 0.38v. i'm pretty sure once you change the tps 0% position you have to do a learn process so the ecu knows the new 0% point.

a tps value to high causes high idle, too low and the tps wont register till the pedal is depress in a bit, i set mine too low once and had to press the pedal in about 20% before engine would rev.

STATUS and NewKleer answered the erratic idle timing on the first page. just screw the idle screw in till the aac value starts to rise. you'll notice the timing start to settle down. also the aac value shown might not go down all the way to zero. my aac valve is fully closed and consult reports 20%. i have mine sitting at 27% and timing is stable, as is idle.

looks good to me, almost same as my pulsar - are you still having rough idle?

its not that rough, but its slightly hunting and has a very slight miss every couple of seconds

my timing is still unstable, goes from 0-10 on idle, it just fluctuates rapidly, so whatever is causing my timing to fluctuate i think is the source of the problem

well 650rpm is standard idle isnt it? so at 700rpm you're higher than standard idle (perhaps due to idle screw too high), so sounds like its pulling timing.

i wouldnt have thought simply lower timing is cause of issue since heaps and heaps of cars run less than their static timing at idle, and not many have missing or anything.

presumably you get it back at 15+ or whatever if you open throttle slightly? (or normal driving). what about when u shift into gear (clutch still in). from memory i think this raises idle on my car as it goes back to 15 deg (presumably ready for take off etc), rather than 5-10.

i would have thought the issues would be more mechanical, i.e. spark plugs/coil packs etc as seems to be the problem with all skylines? not sure.

i think normal idle is 750, so mine is fluctuant from 730-780, thats as good as i can get it, i guess ill have a play with the idle screw etc, but i dont think anything is going to change

ive changed the coils and plugs, so i dont think theyre the cause
