XR8 dash and stereo

hey, i know it has nothing to do with skylines, but my mate has a brand new XR8. only probs there is no din spaces, the whole dash is built in together includein the stereo. has anyone have any idea how we can install a nice 1 din size head deck instead of using the built in stock???

you cant. the car will not start with the head unit unplugged. the ba falcons have a security feature of the car not starting with the factory head unit removed. the head unit can only be replaced by a blaupunkt audio upgrade pack, available from blaupunkt. you also need the premium sound option on the ba to be able to do this as far as im aware.

its pretty shit isnt it tho? if i broguht a car and couldnt change the head unit i'd be very angry, the stock head unit would be pox too
