Theres no way that is their 2011 car. Surely they wouldn't release it so early with no official launch and give the rest of the teams a head start on what they are doing. It does look great though, much better than the bumble bee.

No doubt the funding that means HRT will have a 2011 car is courtesy of TATA, funny it was meant to be a Spanish team but appears as though its funding will be from India. TATA are a huge organisation and whilst i dont think they want to be in F1 as team owners, i think they would like to show on the world stage that they can match western organisations in profile.

But cant see them using Jaguar branding as it is likely to hurt the badge rather then help it by running last on the grid every weekend

yay, what a top idea. Karthikeyan was shithouse in 2005 and now 6 years later at age 33 they think he can do any better? to be honest he'd probably have a better chance driving his 05 jordan than a 11 tata/HRT.... the bloke has not been near an F1 car since 07 and not raced one since 05. Michael Schumacher the best driver in the world had a 3 years off and came back with a fairly decent team and still struggles in the mid pack. where on earth does Karthikeyan think he fits into the picture? if he's thinking anything other than annoying backmarker then he's not a sane man.

It seems Karun didnt want the seat anymore, Bruno was not a popular guy with management. Yamamoto is just plain sh1t so maybe that leaves Klein with the willingness to slog it out in whatever he can get his bum in?!?!?!?!

I think Narain is a hack with some experience and money. The experience means he at least wont be a drain on what little engineering the team have...and he was not great in a bad Jordan, but the guy has shown he can steer a car competently....not that equals exciting!

Can we stop calling this Formula 1 and start calling it Formula mediocrity!!

The last couple of years I'm finding F1 more and more unpalatable.. I know it is a pretty bold statement, but the whole thing is just becoming some embarrassing gargantuan morass..

Thank Gawd Schumi is back (and the likes of Webz, Seb, Nando, Nico and Lewis making it watchable) , hopefully MSC gives it a real run this season, but I can easily see myself post 2013 not even bothering to follow it much any more, it has been completely ruined this sport has...

well I think the biggest fck up has been the super hard durable tyres and the lack of fuel stops (ie removing fuel strategy). look how much V8SC was improved this year with more pressure on fuel usage and very soft tyres that mean you get to choose at which point of the race you are fast. if you chose that point wisely, get some clean air and bank quick laps you can overtake a rival who chose his 'quick laps' session less wisely and got tangled in traffic etc. makes for much more exciting races and means you can start 6th, 7th, 8th etc and still have a chance of a podium. as it stands in F1 if you don't make a pass on lap one, turn one then you are almost guaranteed to finish where you are baring any retirements ahead of you.

maybe they should just have a 1 lap race, all pull in at the end of the lap and stick the cars on dynos for a 60 lap dyno session. if your car survives you get to hold your end of lap one position. for the waiting time we could put the drives to good use boxing each other, or playing darts or table tennis or something with a chance to move up another spot or two if they score a knock out.

I do me best. :)

still I think lack of fuel stops and super hard tyres is a recipe for snores. strategy makes the sport exciting. in it's current form all the 'strategy' is done at the end of quali. after that it's just circulate for 60 laps and try not to run out of fuel or hit anything.

some lanuch dates announced. seems to have swung around quickly this year

Ferrari: 28 January - Maranello, Italy

Renault: 31 January - Valencia, Spain

Sauber: 31 January - Valencia, Spain

Red Bull: 1 February - Valencia, Spain (still to be confirmed)

Team Lotus: 1 February - Valencia, Spain

Toro Rosso: 1 February - Valencia, Spain

Williams: 1 February - Valencia, Spain

McLaren: 4 February - Berlin, Germany

Force India: 10 February - Jerez, Spain

Cant wait to see what some of the teams have come up with... and by that i mean, i bet there'll be at least 12 'redbulls' on the grid in a few months

hopfully somebody is dreaming up something sexy, because last years cars were fairly gross

    • I would again like too thank Matt for his help in me sourcing the detachable hard top for the little red car, without Matt's assistance in inspecting it and locking it down, I can guarantee it would have sold before I could get up to see it,  and as that was the only available NC hardtop in Australia, I consider myself extremely lucky on multiple levels To say I'm more that happy would be an understatement And, it is 100% water tight, I drove through torrential rain coming back south, and by torrential, they type of rain that doing 40kph in a 110kph zone was a real thing, and even then, the standing water on the Hwy was deep enough to throw waves I'm also more than happy that the huge "BEASTS" that Matt calls dogs didn't eat me for lunch, I'm sure the sniffs and licks were more to "taste test" me, over being to friendly Now to work out what colour to get it painted, panel match, or gloss black........first world problems are real
    • Actually I might have figured out. Looks like there is a tab according to google images but it's hidden. Silly me.
    • No clips on this one like the other connector. Only that red tab that I can push slightly up.
    • For any loom connector that has an obvious release that resists pushing far enough to unclip, just spray some silicone lube into it. You might also benefit from using a bent screwdriver or small pick to push in the right place at the right angle.
    • Hey all, I went to try and fix my indicator not canceling, but I couldn't remove the clockspring cable under the column so I could twist that green thin. Anyone know how to remove this cable? I see this red tab but didn't have any luck. I was thinking of unscrewing it but wasn't sure if it would cause issues. I did notice for my indicator stalk, 2 out of 3 cables were plugged in but the last cable wouldn't fit in the stalk. I'm getting it's for fog lights. It was like this when I originally pulled it off.
