Newly-crowned GP2 Champ Romain Grosjean is eager to return to F1 next season

"There is no rule unfortunately!" he told Lotus Renault's website. "I want to go back to Formula One, of course, but at the moment nothing has been decided.

"My management, LRGP or the team Dams have been intelligent because they knew that in 2009 after the third race of the season, I was only thinking about F1.

"This year, I did not want to make the same mistake so I kept my focus on GP2 exclusively. I have been to the F1 paddock as little as possible to focus here.

"Now that we are Champions, I will have a look at what is going on upstairs, but at the moment, my main concern is to find a good contract for 2012 and nothing else.

"At least we still have a few months to think about it. Hopefully I can get a good seat in good conditions."

what do you think his chances are?

if schumi's happy i'm happy.

"I was very happy with how the whole weekend went," Schumacher told the Times of India.

"It was nice to see that such a lot of people were happy for me, and I very much appreciate their attitude.

"The way the race went in the end made up big time for the disappointment in qualifying and we are geared to go to Monza now."

Later in the season, though, F1 will pay its first visit to India with the Buddh International Circuit hosting the country's inaugural grand prix on October 30th.

Asked for his thoughts on F1 'breaking new ground' into India, he said: "I can only repeat myself in saying again that F1 is a World Championship. So the more continents and countries involved, the better it is in my view.

Thinking about it his starts cost him the WDC last year. He was on the front row in Valencia, at the end of the first lap he was 10th or something and ended up hittinh Heikki and a DNF. His Spa start last year cost him the win. His start in Malaysia cost him the win :) But i still luvs ya Webz :)

This is exactly what I was getting at Roy. This has been a very expensive learning process for Webber. Definitly lost him a WDC last year. Didnt help when he went airbourne either :whistling:

pretty slim of anything other than an HRT or Lotus... maybe a virgin...

This is what I am hoping. Williams and Lotus now have Renault engines...Renault want a French driver in F1 and may help Grosjean into Williams or Caterham-Lotus. Problem is both teams have signed drivers...which leaves Renault-Lotus and really this is his best chance as he knows the team, engineers etc. Question is can Bruno shine enough that any money he brings means will mean he gets the seat that Kubica is odds on vacating.

Grosjean or Senna...answer is pretty clear to me but Grosjean isnt from money or second generation F1 family

mark webber and his opinion on quitting retiring

"It might look as if it took a long time to sort out, and I was weighing up various possibilities. But in the end the contract talks were done very quickly," he told the BBC.

"I've been an integral part of Red Bull since the start and I still enjoy it there. It would have been a mistake to stop racing."

Webber has yet to win a grand prix this season while his team-mate Sebastian Vettel already has seven victories to his name.

Webber, though, is adamant he still has the ability and the drive to challenge his team-mate and hopes to prove that before the season is over.

"I'm still driving well. I had a bit of a slow start to this year because it took me a little while to get on top of the new tyres. I'm looking forward to taking on Seb - and everyone else - again next year.

"But this year isn't over yet. There are still seven races to go, starting with Monza next weekend, and anything can still happen."

every one's talking up vettel.

David Coulthard

"Well, I think we could well be witnessing the development of the best driver ever in Formula One. We can't say yet, of course. Only history will judge that. But the fact that Seb continues to improve every aspect of his game, from race craft to tyre management,

building on his natural speed, is indisputable.

Fernando Alonso

"Sebastian is a great Champion, who is in the process of winning his second title," Alonso told German Sport Bild magazine.

"He has a lot of talent and the capability of withstanding pressure."

In fact, Alonso is so impressed with Vettel's performances he says he wouldn't object to the 24-year-old one day joining Ferrari.

"A lot of drivers want to come to Ferrari. Sebastian would definitely be welcome," he said.

"One day, why not. If you have not driven for Ferrari, your career is not complete."

did anyone else 'lol' at the last two lines?

true, it is better to have said (for marks pov) 'i am giving it my best at the top level of motorsport and am currently second because of it, i am also representing my country, (alot better then Lewis Hamilton is) prompting my

fellow country men to call me (affectionately) captain chin or the chin.

i also get to drive a f1 car (which has been my dream since i was little) and that's a lot better then racing a datsun, thats trying to be a e type jaguar.

^cwutididthar?

btw the renault and heidfeld saga is over, heidfeld took the money and is running, bruno is in for the rest of season. :)

you can read all about it here.

Edited by tweety bird

Listen to you bunch. You want your race car drivers to use a 3rd pedal and column shift but you all pine over an overweight Auto R35 with all the usual fish finders, electric toothbrushes etc such cars come with

We should all be driving 180sx's with twin turbo vh45 conversions :D

senna only has two races to prove him self (Belgian and Italian Grands Prix)

Ahh good, two of the greatest races of the year to prove yourself. Good luck! I'd love senna to do well, but talent and luck are yet to be seen.

Maybe he'll take vengeance in the race of champions, or just go to touring cars or to the US... I doubt he'll ever be on centrelink lol.

Btw on the hamilton hitting people topic, he does take too many risks, but his duels with button (much like the webber-alonso duels) are a lesson for every other driver to learn from. Respect, don't come together.
