put the boost up on my stock turbos on my r33 gtr, installed boost gauge today and it was hitting a max of 15psi when i turned the boost controller of was between 7 - 8 psi for stock boost, how much can i run at max that is safe??

That would be 7-8psi above stock boost, set it to 0 for stock boost

7-8psi? what boost gauge, don't tell me it's a cheap supercheap one? Anything lower than 10psi is a misreading if the stock actuators are indeed still on and in working condition.

To be honest, $80 on a dyno run will tell you what boost is safe on it. Simply get someone to do a power run and set your boost to a reasonable level.

Bare in mind that the stock turbos generally fail above 14 psi. Changing these is also an expensive exersize no matter how you look at it.
