Ok - I got a PowerFC & the add-on boost control on my GTR.

I have blocked off & removed the factory boost solenoid & connected the pfc solenoid between the pipe that comes off the bottom of the plenum (at the back) & the pipe that feeds the actuators. This is in line with what the manual suggests & with what I was told to do by a local workshop that has some experience with these items.

The issue is that I cannot get it to hold boost - boost is inconsistent, it spikes, is different in different gears & is slow to come on (compared to the basic bleed valve setup that I was using).

I have tried all sorts of setups with target boost & duty cycle without success...

Can anyone tell me what I may be doing wrong?

Do you know how long it takes to get the unit to learn boost as maybe I haven't let it do this for long enough?

Any help appreciated.

Brendan is getting his R tuned by Lumpy/Ken anyday now (if not already). He has the PFC with boost kit as well.

Before I bolted on the big terbs (and did a big end) I had stable boost at just under 1 bar. Couldn't get stable boost on the bigger terbs at higher boost, however. I suspect it has a fair bit to do with setting up the actuators well in the first place as Sydneykid explains in another post.

You've got HKS actuators - right?
