i do have a budget in mind i dont want to spend alot of money but want a good setup that will bring me hard boost and pull i heard gt 3071 r s ideal i dont knoe hear so many diff things

i am chasing atleast 240 kw

any advice

stock highflow would be cheaper to reach 240rwkw, hypergear do some good highflow stuff and can steer you with which one...

3071r will do it too...

need an ecu, I dont recommend piggybacks... PoweFC is my recommendation but others will suggest nistune cause its cheaper and I hear does the job...

injectors possibly, 740cc will be overkill, SR20 JDM injectors or 500cc, you could possibly get away with the stockers with a fuel pressure bump... I'll recommend new injectors though, get a new fuel pump as well of course...

and then onto boost control...

its starting to rack up huh....

do the installs yourself to save a heap though...

then when your finished you get the mod bug and want more power... so plan ahead maybe...

ok so a gt3071 r will do the job for me ? will this be ok on stock manifold will it still work well? external gated or internally ?

what are these turbos capable of making ? maybee if i want to push 250 260 kw ?

in tank walbro 500 hp pump be ok will i need fuel pressure adjustable reg ?

have you even bothered to read the dyno thread?

or perhaps a quick search with 'gt3071'???

this is all very basic stuff.

have a search/do some reading and you'll be surprised at how much info there is... far more than you'll probably get in this thread.

for 240kw i would definitely hiflow the stock turbo, contact hypergear.

the advantage is the turbo will bolt back into place and the modification process will be much cheaper in the long run. gt3071 is a 280+kw turbo.

[guys would a kkr 430 with a .63 housing do the job what power would it make for me and would it spool nice cause i can get one really cheap like i seriously dont know i spose these are cheap crap i dont know

everyone can get them really cheap, cause they are shit

A hiflow from hypergear can be had for around 1000$ maybe less, will perform better and bolts straight up...

give it a general service (good plugs ,oils, filters etc) get a decent fuelpump is under 200 and a remap on yourr ecu for around 500 maybe and you could have easy 220-230kw...for less than 2000$.

Assuming you can do the work yourself..pay someone else to do it and you can double that figure...

ive been running a hks2530 on my 33 for over a year with 555cc's and a power fc, made 233rwkw on 1.1bar with stock motor. i highly rate this turbo for round this power range, come on boost same as stock and same power band as stock just 233rwkw .

I may be wrong but i think a 3071 will require a custom dump pipe, to reach your goals a hypergear (have a look in this section for a thread on them) will be plenty to get you closer to 270rwkw and is a direct replacement for your standard turbo, a general rule of thumb is that a healthy 25 with handle 300rwkw but over (and even around) that power level is a crap shoot, 270rwkw will be fairly safe.

As for injectors, i have just had my 500cc injectors cleaned and tested and was told that they should still be safe for 350rwkw so unless you are going to be using E85 there is no reason to go over 500cc.

Ecu will need to be changed, there are many options but by far the easiest to install and tune and probably best for budget applications all the way through to higher power applications is a power fc.

But you also need to do research, unlike other the forums the amount of info and detail on this forum is awesome and goes well beyond the amount of info you require.

Edit: forgot to mention you will also need a fuel pump.

Read these answers carefully.....

then

Hi-flowed stock turbo is the cheapest, easiest, best bet to reach your 240rwkw target.

A click of the search button will answer all the "why's and wherefore's" but the answer won't change unless you change your power requirements or budget.

I missed that one, do a search, you want power and minimal lag, with a kkr you need lots of boost for minimal power and heaps of lag.

As many ppl have said, go with a hypergear hiflow: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Hy...ce-t261613.html best bang for buck you will find and they have options from low 200rwkw to over 300rwkw, stao knows his shit, tell him what you want and you will get it.
