there is nothing stopping you calling up to trry and make a claim and be honest about it

but they would certainly have a lot of ground to reject the claim, but you can certainly try

They would most likely follow it up with legal action when they realised it was a dodgy claim. Especially if they had paid it out and then found out afterwards...

Yeah, I thought about making a claim but I can't be bothered being reamed by assessor and their cronies only to have to be told they won't cough up the $. It's simply not worth it, If I crashed on street, it's another story.

Thanks Harsh, It goes to show how well it is built. Couple of people reckon it could be fixed, but $10k to fix it, what for?

About insurance, no point in discussing about it cos trackdays means you're not covered. And these Insurance Companies are bit like banks, they love to grab our money and have trouble giving them away.

Was pretty shocked to see this Grant, it was only at the show and shine we were talking about that tree in your front yard dropping oil on it. I know Dave would have wanted you to RB26 into sedan lol.

Plenty of people write off cars on the street (me) let alone motorsport, so don't feel too bad beyond the loss...just be re-assuring to your parents cause they will be the most affected by this

I'll have a huge work into re-assuring my parents... Should be fun.

As for replacment, have been looking at another Skyline but not sure which.

Indeed there is always someone worse off. And for what it's worth, there's a reason insurance companies don't insure cars on the race track...because cars end up in sidewalls all the time. Just one of the expenses of motorsport, and if the late great Peter Brock can crash then anyone can.

Can't replace the things we love and lost but you can save up and get something better to take your mind off it
